After 2022 they will quite possibly command majorities in both the House and Senate.

We'll see. I think GOP chances in the Senate are pretty good.
The Senate's Dems are not impressive.

The 2 most likely seats to change hands are Wi and Pa....

Where are you going to match that?

I'm not going to match anything, and I'm not going to try to predict specific races this far out. But with Trump off the ballot I expect the Repubs to have an enthusiasm advantage.

LOL... Unless T**** unequivocally states he's not running in 2024 (and he's a liar, so nobody will believe him anyway), he'll personally infect every race, and if he doesn't, the D's will make sure he's in there anyway...

If they do that they will merely scatter their shots to their own detriment.

This story is in the same ballpark of Chicken and Notre Dame, except it's Ice Cream and Israel.

I now hijack my own thread, although feel free to continue to weigh in on Spineless Lindsey as required.

    https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/ben-jerrys-stop-selling-palestinian-161110434.html

Who agrees with B&J here?? I'm still thinking it over myself, but I'm not one of those who gives Israel a free pass for everything just because they're our top ally in the ME....

Well, Israel is treating this a little more seriously than you seem to be...

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/israeli-pm-vows-aggressive-action-090612550.html

Although this new PM guy doesn't seem to understand what this is.... it's not a "boycott"

    SNIP
Bennett's office said in a statement that he spoke with Unilever CEO Alan Jope about what he called Ben & Jerry’s “clearly anti-Israel step,” adding that the move would have “serious consequences, legal and otherwise, and that it will act aggressively against all boycott actions directed against its citizens.”

Call it what you will, it's B&J virtue signaling at Israel's expense.

Not the person you want going to war for you. Graham is all talk, no action.

He retired at the rank of Colonel after 33 years of Air Force service, including time in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

    Sure...

    SNIP
After he became a colonel, Graham began to dedicate more hours to the Reserve. He deployed for brief stints in Iraq and Afghanistan, visits timed to overlap with his travels there as a senator.

His Air Force career sounds a lot like his Senate career... a lot of turd polishing...

Al Franken was probably in more danger during his USO tours as a comedian than Lindsey...

And have you been to either Iraq or Afghanistan?
    Meanwhile:
". . . In 2007, Graham served in Iraq as a reservist on active duty for a short period in April and for two weeks in August, where he worked on detainee and rule-of-law issues.[32] He also served in Afghanistan during the August 2009 Senate recess.[33] He was then assigned as a senior instructor at the Judge Advocate General's School, though he never went.[30]

In 2014, Graham received a Bronze Star medal for meritorious service as a senior legal adviser to the Air Force in Iraq and Afghanistan from August 2009 to July 2014, overseeing the detention of military prisoners.[1][30] . . . "

Senior Legal Advisor.... and that makes it sound like Graham was there for 5 straight years, which we know is BS.

I salute his "service", but let's not sell him as Wade McCluskey or Gene Lindsey here..

Bottom line - US Congressman 1993-2003 US Senator 2003-Present....

He is now, but there WAS a time that he wasn't. There WAS a time where he actually seemed like one of the more sane people in the current cult.... to me, anyway.... And it really wasn't that long ago....

Where did that guy go?? I guess the same planet where America's (former) Mayor disappeared to...

You're the one who said "all talk, no action." That was false.

Donald Trump broke his brain somehow. He went from calling him a kook to being his most ardent supporter.

Actually I wasn't the one who said that, but I generally agree with it and you've presented little to counteract that position...

Well, I wouldn't even call Lindsey the most ardent supporter.... he managed to oppose a few T**** things during the dark years, but he never could fully cut that cord..... nor did he want to

    Remember this one?

    https://thehill.com/homenews/senate...n-vote-i-changed-my-mind-because-i-was-pissed

Let's call Lindsey what he is..... a Yo-Yo..... He can be stretched out, but eventually T**** is going to pull him back in....

You are correct about who said what. My apologies.
I am nonetheless amused by criticism of those who have served from those who have not.
