I don't think this is as big of a deal as everybody is making it out to be. He had a human moment and lost his train of thought. Big deal. We all do it. But because he's running for president, he is expected to be perfect. He's not my first choice for the job, but I really don't see this as anything significant. I think his personal attacks on Romney at the last debate hurt him a lot more.
I disagree. It's a big deal because he was making a promise at the time. Can't be but so serious about your intentions if you can't even remember what they are.
Perry could have memory laspes daily, hourly and still not come close to the travesty that is in the WH now.
Very good points. Unfortunately, in this country, we expect to have candidate who are tv-ready-phony and never look bad or foolish. This would be apart from whether or not they are decent people or if we agree or not on their policies. And we wonder why we have the shallow leaders we have.. Bro
