As you'll be able to see from my previous posts...I have the greatest difficulty in making an opinion and then a decision as "I" need all the facts...unlike your good self!
    I'm not a tory!

Granted Im only seeing videos of it but in my opinion the rubber bullets should have been brought into play 2 days ago.

They arent kettling, the cops are splintering themselves off into groups of 2, 3 or 4.

They said they were too few in number. I saw one place where the reporters were saying the Police outnumbered the rioters and you could see that from the number of Police milling about, but the reporter could only see one part of the riot, it was ongoing in an extended area. The last thing the Police can risk is to get into such an area and be trapped. Police have been killed in similar situations in the past.

It did look like a lack of leadership though.

Anyway, it's all over.:chew: David Cameron is back from Italy and Boris is supposed to be en route or already back from his hols. [/sarcasm]:below:

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/aug/09/david-cameron-announces-recall-parliament

Interesting how they made sure to include the Policeman in the background.

Well Boris (Mayor of London) might have some effect. His last heated exchange cost the Police their most senior officers. Let's hope he doesn't fire the entire Force this time.

No I am saying that riot police are trained to kettle and it has been used before.

It was used very effectively during the student protests, but this is not a protest and they are not a uniform body. It is difficult to kettle 6 or 7 areas.

May I also point out that police men were used as agents provocateur at the student protests.

Also in Canada they were caught out doing the same thing!

Were they doing the same thing here in the past few days?

They are now talking of putting the military armed onto the streets of England!

The Police were pilloried for using kettling as well. Whatever they do, they get the sharp end.

Are you saying Police encouraged rioting?....

That's it, blame the police.:bored: It really is pathetic. The army needs to be called in to sort this out and bust a few of these ********'s heads.

Not many soldiers will want to get involved. To start with they're only paid about half that of police officers with no overtime (and there will be lots of police overtime being paid) and they're overstretched as it is. It would do nothing for their morale.

To be quite honest from what I am seeing some of these police havent had riot training. Either that or it was a long long time ago for them. Lack of training, not their fault but someones head at the top needs to roll for it.

Apparently David Cameron has even denied the cops the use of water cannon, this is pathetic, a complete lack of effective leadership. Cameron is dithering while Londons burning. They have only just announced the cancellation of all leave into the 3rd night of rioting.
Seriously, these people are the minority and are criminals, what he should be saying is desist or risk being shot. The rights of the majority law abiding citizens need to be protected with deadly force if necassary.

Anarchists are in part behind these riots. The man who was shot is serving as an excuse for this sort of violent behaviour. This is just a mix of criminals and anarchist thugs doing what they do best, assaulting the property of middle class people.

He's been away. He'll change his mind, there has been outcry about his speech.

And there are currently riots going on in Salford, Manchester, West Bromwich, other locations.

I was working in Salford a couple of weeks ago. My boss is based there. I hope he's all right.

Anyway, they've released a statement about the man who was shot by the Police and it sound like the people are right and he did not fire any shots.

No, I am not an idiot, I just don't fall for the leftist bull(*)(*)(*)(*) of blaming others instead of those who actually cause it. I think the idiots are the people destroying jobs for others because it's fun to burn (*)(*)(*)(*).

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14458424

Or even stealing (*)(*)(*)(*) from people in the street.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...mingham-people-forced-strip-naked-street.html

I also find it idiotic you are defending the robbery of any store based on the idea they are doing it for basic necessities. I call bull(*)(*)(*)(*), due to the fact I saw this same story back in 1992.

The excuse was a beating of a black man (Rodney King) by white cops. Even if the cops were found guilty, I seriously think the riots would have still happened because as soon as the verdict was read everything went to hell.

Rioters robbed supermarkets and electronic stores. Even targeting Asian owned stores.

The robbing of supermarkets proves nothing as what did they do before that? Certainly they didn't starve to death or they wouldn't be alive to rob anything.. so did they really do it out of necessity? No. It's another line from the left to justify it. As usual logic fails for you guys.

No, I think they still want the life style they had before an economic downturn. Thus they are stealing what they can't have now.

Riots have happened in every super welfare state country when cuts have been proposed or cut. It's the common link. I would get if people were actually pissed about not getting taken care off considering the taxes you nutters pay.. but as you said.. they don't really care about the cuts. Which leaves to conclude what? That it's not about anything but Teenage Angst in police state country.

Of course the socialists would try to excuse these criminal scum. The far left is in part responsible for this lawlessness.

Have to say that a lot of the time I tend to agree with the thrust of your posts if not always the way you word them...but in this case I think you are doing kneejerk little different from the yobs who are using the excuse of the shooting to acquire all the "stuff" to which they think they are "entitled".

Personally, I'm waiting until I see the result of the IPCC enquiry before I pontificate.

Mmmm....I might have to agree with you.....BUT.....!

    http://blog.alexanderhiggins.com/20...ted-bullet-lied-murdered-man-open-fire-52881/

The yobs are just that......but if you looked at the first images televised...it wasn't young yobs!

It was mostly white men in there late twenties, and Jews!

And now since the first episodes is this changed to a political game? Between the police and the government?
    http://www.presstv.ir/detail/193178.html
But the girl beaten up by police who was on the march demonstrating against the refusal of the police to met with the parents of the murdered person. All they the parents had asked was to know the manner in which there son had died! What had actually happened!
