Couple years ago, pro-lifers came out with a commercial saying, "Life. What a beautiful choice". The pro-choicers were scandalized. While some give lip service to the idea of choice, there really are substantial forces that want young women to get an abortion. Corporations are pushing this, paying for their pregnant employees to get one and then get back into the veal pens. When does a right to abortion turn into an obligation to get one?

By a human! Or some day, someone traveling with their dog will make the same kind of claim!

 

The Constitution doesn't give anyone any rights. No piece of paper gives anyone any rights. The Constitution PROTECTS rights, from government and others. All rights are inherent, did you ever read the Declaration of Independence, it's our founding document you know? You should read it sometime. The first 8 Amendments to the Constitution protect specific (enumerated) rights and the 9th protects all other (unenumerated) rights, including but not limited to protecting the inherent right to bodily autonomy (i.e. the right to choose what a person can and can't do with his/her own body). Should a man who assaults a woman pregnant with a 6 week old baby which she loses, be charged with murder?

Or should a boyfriend who didn’t want the baby be charged with murder for feeding his girlfriend abortion meds which resulted in no harm to her but the death of her 5 week old baby?

 

I really don't respect this woman. She's ignoring the spirit of the law, which is to create less drivers on the road, less traffic jams and less smog. She's self serving to take advantage through a technicality.

They need to make a change to the law...and decide...is it passengers of driving age? Or is that lane also reserved for a parent traveling with their kid.

I don’t believe a fetus is part of a woman’s body. The person they are aborting doesn’t even carry the same DNA. Secondly the Declaration of Independence also does not mention autonomy nor does the constitution. The Declaration of Independence is an important document but it’s not the law of the land. It wasn’t even designed to be law. If it was a protected right abortion would have been stricken from the state power in the constitution. The constitution clearly gives states all the powers that is not limited by the constitution from the state. It is a state right period.
