Note the use of the word "English", to assert England alone is the UK and the only country involved in directing military action. Good luck with that Ray, once Scotland tells you to feck off and you have to start training your own crack troops and housing your own nuclear weapons. We all know the reality is English "leaders" are just a crowd of big girls blouses who enjoyed all-male schools and join the military to remain in a male only environment. UK (not England) will be rather less impressive with cannon fodder at half strength.

As to US military, I think you will find the current President shows signs of being a fairly quick study...they seem to be learning some control and effective ability in military matters and have demonstrated some intelligent strategic deployment and success since he appeared on the scene. I don't think their recent activities can really be ridiculed. Even Afghanistan is showing signs of progress and that was a losing battle long before it started for them, even (as you will know) exceptional England historically effed up attempts on that country and had to beat ignominious retreat with horrible loss of life.
