So ‘again’ might be when young people could do simple mental arithmetic.

I notice a confederate flag alongside a Make America Great Again flag.
I assume for that person at least it is about a return to the nascent Confederate States Constitution.
I notice that in that written but defeated constitution, there was a clause to keep slavery legal.
So those two flags together suggest that ‘again’ refers to the days of acceptance of slavery.
Personally I don’t think those days were ‘great’ for everybody.
In Lancashire in England at that time the workers were prepared to accept personal suffering rather than pivot to the Confederacy during the American Civil War.
‘Again’ is becoming rather difficult to pin down.
Could it be because it has no objective meaning? Or does the meaning of ‘again’ suggest something different to every person…apart from the guy who uses the two flags to yearn for the days of slavery?

LOL. Polls show basement approval ratings for Biden, higher unapproval ratings than even Trump, blue states have turned red in recent elections, and even Democrats concede the House will turn red come the midterms. But, Biden's doing a great job.

Shows the class you have when you take someone's post, edit it, and then comment on the edit. Do whatever you want that makes you feel good. Even Democrats are realizing that there is a red wave coming later this year. Instead of figuring out why, you would just rather go full steam ahead and ignore the world around you.

Now let's not let your pretty girl panties get all in a wad. YOU are the one who deliberately edited one of my posts to read what you wanted it to read because that's the only debate tactic you know how to use to win a debate. If you can't win a debate then maybe you shouldn't post.

The phrase doesn't apply to a specific point in time. No one's looking for an instant reply of any era, because every era has had problems, misbehaviors and societal errors.

It is children who try to win arguments by editing someone else's posts to read what you want them to read. I see you did it yet again. If that is the only way you can debate then maybe you should be somewhere else.

Got that far, yep it's children that worry a thing to the bone when they don't have a real argument; kinda like you're doing. 8)

LOL. There you go again, editing other's posts to dishonestly try proving a point. It just makes you look ridiculous.

Trump thought he could make America great again. He made America great only for himself and no one else. That's how he did it. If Trump were to be re-elected, There would be trouble brewing in America and around the world and we don't want it at all.

Bucking unprecedented conservative resistance....meanwhile in reality Democrats control both houses in Congress and the WH. But hey....its still Republican resistance that he can't get anything done.

One man's perspective. I work in education and I think the kids are more balanced now. It's definitely a less harsh world and that has advantages and disadvantages. You may not think so, but average IQ is way up over your time.

However I think the educational curriculum is really dumbed down to suit the middle ground. Speaking locally, in that sense Australia might be going backwards and I think it might be similar in the US. Again, I think kids spend too much time in front of a screen.

Cheese and Rice, you've got to know that's horseshit. And you'll be the first one to cry foul IF the Democrats abolish the filibuster.

In the 1950's and 60's the average cost of residential property (and thus the cost of housing in general, which is the bulk of the average American's living expenses) was 10x cheaper relative to average individual income than it is today. That sounds like a good goal to return to to me. The fastest way to get this country back on track is to get away from being a renter society dependent upon the financial elite for our ability to merely exist.

...with so many people now, this will of course require in part that FedGov open some of its vast tracks of land to homesteading. Which of course it will not, because We The People are not really in charge of anything that matters.

this is the problem with the trump crowd

make america great again is a slogan and NOTHING more..

they have no clue what "again" represents or means

the ENTIRE platform of Maga is below ..

"the democrats are bad and will ruin the country"

the Maga people have NO plans or ideas for the country to move forward..

the GOP looks at whatever the democrats do and vote against it and try to do the exact opposite

people forget all of 2017 and 2018 the GOP had control of all 3 branches of government

their only legislative accomplishment was to lower taxes for the wealthy to the lowest rates since income taxes began in 1913

the other thing that got done was the GOP made the SC a 6-3 majority

they wasted 2 years of power because of the insane tactics of trump...

and prior to that, when Obuma was in office they opposed EVERYTHING he tried to get done

thankfully for millions of citizens the affordable care act passed and was upheld by the SC

so to say make american great again, the again must be pre 1913

I certainly agree with that. We used to encourage our children to excel- to be the best they could be. Everyone has something that works and they can build a life around, but you have to find it, and you have to believe in yourself. It's very personal. You have to compete with- yourself, master what you have. If you do, it will be more than enough. It also strongly involves parenting- and while education needs to get back on target, parenting needs to be seen as a critical skill that will have as big or bigger impact than education.

I cannot approve of education becoming political or injecting ideology for political or social purposes. Education serves society by creating more capable adults, not by creating sheep.
We may differ on that, but I sense not.

I think this term refers to bringing back real country music.

all kidding aside I would say it means that being back opportunity that has been pushed over seas. Allowing for business to be back rather than telling people they need to find new jobs because some politicians don’t like your profession
