I thought you were wanting to ban their ip or use some other method to disallow them to speak on our issues. If I was wrong, my apologies.

This has recently happened in gun-free Europe many times.

And you are okay with NO restrictions on the 1st ammendment?

Do you believe that a person's words have no effect on another person on the recieving end? Or do you just not care?

As for your second point, the link is broken. Perhaps instead of using pictures, just say what you mean and believe in plainly?

No need to beat around the bush, divert attention, or any other similar practices with me. I'm a big boy, I can take it. So just say what you mean and mean what you say, okay.

    Thank you for your time.

My understanding of the word infringed matches yours, I am sure.

However, I don't believe in strictly following the constitution, and ONLY the constitution, to the letter. The document is very old and times and things have changed. And I believe we will have to adapt to those times.

Just as you may refuse to live in a country that places ANY restrictions on weapon ownage, I refuse to live in a country that will put laws into place that attempt to force me to behave a specific way morally that the law creators want. And no, I won't be leaving. I would rather change the country to conform to my beliefs. Do conservatives not think the same?

So, stalemate it is. I believe things will only get worse over time, until we as a country hit rock bottom and violent war breaks out.

    What do you think?

That is way higher than the number of Americans killed by illegal aliens. Guess that isn’t a crisis either.

So you admit to not wishing to follow the constitution, and are willing to put the nation into war.

How do you think thats going to go?

Please don't misconstrue my position. My position is that the constitution (and thus the laws) should adapt to the times. I am strongly opposed to just getting rid of it altogether.

Willing to put the nation at war? I would like to avoid it if at all possible. I just don't believe we can avoid it forever.

Both sides, conservatives and liberals alike, want to win. They are tired of losing and are not willing to compromise, because they believe if they give an inch, the other side will take a mile.

    Am I wrong?

Which is a perfectly respectable position to have. The Constitution itself provides the specific instructions and pathway's by which to accomplish this if the nation so desires. I would support any changes made to the Constitution as long as the legal process was followed in accordance with Article V.

Good luck if it comes down to a SCOTUS decision.

Any decision the court makes that infringes on the rights of the people to keep and bear arms is unconstitutional.

He did have a gun that he took off of a security guard. No waiting period or background check required.

Fair enough. I agree with you.

I am worried, because this stance will slow things down and allow negative feelings to fester longer, which will make that civil war I would like to avoid more likely.

But, it is what it is. Just because I am liberal doesn't mean I don't believe in rule of law.

I understand your view on it. I just don't agree with it. Bit of a difference.

I think I am being respectful here. There is no need to resort to insults.

Get a clue. Criminals don't obey laws. If they want guns they steal them, even from police cars.

Have you ever wondered what a universal background check would consist of?

Did you hear about the guy who walked into the Springfield, Missouri, Walmart wearing camouflage clothes, body armor, an assault rifle strapped to his back, and 100 rounds of ammo? https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/9685741/walmart-springfield-missouri-man-assault-weapon-el-paso/

What laws were broken and who broke them?

Do you remember when the Vice President shot and killed the former Secretary of the Treasury?

That is not exactly true. The politicians took away the legal right of white people to own black people when they ended slavery and made black people American citizens.

Did you catch his name? His name is Dmitriy Andreychenko. Are the Russians trying to stir things up?

Based only on your article, it doesn't appear that any laws were broken. I will admit, I am not an expert on laws in general.

Your article mentions detainment, but not arrest.

IMO, that guy was deliberately trying to make a statement, and didn't seem to care about possible discomfort he would cause to other people.

As far as your legal approach. Laws (and views on laws) can change. I won't advocate for complete bans on all guns, but I do feel they need more stringent regulation. You can't FORCE people to change their culture and moral views (unless you are willing to trample on all of their rights), so unless we can slow the killers down (by limiting the methods they use to kill), things will only get worse over time, until the pot boils over.

I only hope I, and the people I love, are all dead by old age by the time that happens.

People should read their particular State Constitution Bill of Rights to appreciate the Right to Bear Arms because most people are prosecuted under State laws and not Federal laws.
