Stephen Birrell had convictions for a firearms offence, slashing a man with a Stanley knife blade, singing "F*** the Pope" in the street, and a string of breaches of the peace, bail violations and minor drugs offences.

He was freed from his jail term for the firearms offence just days before his Facebook rants.

Given his mother is Catholic, it does make one wonder if he has more of a personal reason for his attitude, and is disguising it in his sectarian rants tied to football.......which certainly doesn't excuse the rants.

I note that at long last the UK and the Commonwealth have agreed to remove the ridiculous and sectarian ban on Catholics laid down in the Law of Succession......so now all we need is the removal of the monarch as head of the Church of England, and maybe the UK can become a secular society...as all the deluded Protestants seem to think it is.

Countries furth of America have different problems (or problems that they care more about) and are entitled to take the steps they deem necessary to ameliorate them.

Seems to me that inciting hatred is not something to be promoted, by any country......and you kinda have to allow that any country has to look at what happens within its own borders and make their laws according to that...not according to the opinions of American ********s who tend to speak from that orifice most of the time. .

This is clearly a subjective matter and has to be decided by a court based on the facts. Not being an Anmerican, I have less of an issue with limitations on freedom of speech. There is freedom in limits in my view.

You are right Rev. With our history, we embrace certain limits as we feel safer and hence freer with them. We do not want people spreading nazi philospohy in public by way of example.

That is a rather strange statement. Which laws did Hitler import from America that violated natural law? I think you should read a more well rounded history, and maybe question the sources of what you are currently embracing as fact. BTW can you provide a citation to a reliable source to support that queer* assertion?

What is the reason for bringing that information? Other than trivia information It serves no purpose due to having no relation to the subject. It’s like saying tje USA got the idea for the A bomb from Germany. It may be true but its not very relevant, even if it’s bit interesting.

Why do you think I so do not like many of the rich? Some of the rich are truly repulsive Megalomaniacs unfit to stand before God, at least that is what scripiture tells us*. They get the idea that they are very special, and that only they should live while eradicating most of the worlds population. I abhor theturds far more than they fear me I would wager.
