Rich progressive and public school booster Matt Damon enrolls his kids in private school, just like all rich progressives. Socialism for thee but not for me.
Just like Obama, Damon is a big fat hypocrite: Obama Kids To Attend Private D.C. School While they resist school choice for poor people stuck in a failing public education system, they send their children off to the best schools money can buy.
public schools are such a disaster because they are government run, so can't say I blame him, but it's most likely a progressive school anyway...not like his kids will learn anything constructive.
He champions public schools, then sends his own kids to private schools? Sound rational to you? I mean if your an advocate for public school, then you send your kids to private school over the public schools, you look pretty silly don't you think? It happens all the time with liberals, it's where we get the, "Do as I say, not as I do" saying. Obamacare is another example of that cliche. The little guy gets (*)(*)(*)(*) on, while the Feds and the rich folks get exempted.
There's a perception that anyone from Hollywood who isn't like you or me is a snob. Fact of the matter is that kids of famous and well known people would be possible targets for violence, kiddnapping, exploitation, etc. If Damon decided to send his kid(s) off to a private school, then I say good for him. Let his detractors here eat cake.
Then maybe Maaatttt Daaaaamooon should shut his pie hole about public schools? Damons a damn jack ass!
The problem with most public schools is the students.....the minority students that is. I went to all white public schools and got a great education. My son and daughter have attended predominately white public schools and are getting a good education....
He's a one-percenter who sends his kids to swanky private schools while standing in the way of school choice for the peasantry. Not sure if he's a snob, but he's definitely a piece of trash.
Right, because normal people don't have to worry about their kids getting hurt. And thanks for tacitly admitting that public schools are not safe.
It's an order of magnitude worse with the Scumbag-in-Chief. He shut down the DC voucher program AND sent his kids to the most exclusive private school in DC. Bastard.
I went to a predominately white public school in an affluent area and it was horrible for me and my family. Aren't anecdotes fun?
Some apparently believe that celebrities should use their kids to make a political point, and resent their having accrued sufficient wealth to make educational choices in their interests. Improving the public schools benefits the nation, and benefits those who cannot afford to pay the tuition of private schools most of all. Socialists may believe that all should be subject to one uniform, homogenous system. Under such a system, Matt Damon would be forced to enroll his kids in a public schools. Not even the most enthusiastic champion of America's impressive history of public education would become churlish over a parent exercising the freedom that his achievements bestow in the schooling of his children. .
Seems they are saying the the President, Damon and others who have children that are targets should ignore security issues regarding their children. What a load of crap!!!!!
Yup, much worse. I mean, Damon is only indirectly imprisoning kids in the government education system with his advocacy and rhetoric, whereas Obama takes direct action to keep them wallowing in failure and misery.
Damon Is free to be a typical liberal hypocrite and the rest us are free to thinks he's an a$$ I'll still see his movies though. Rich liberals are the biggest hypocrites on the planet. Too many examples to count.
So it's the conservatives and libertarians who resent Damon's financial success? Boy, you progressives are a hoot! Anyway, there is a quick and easy fix to the problems faced by students stuck in the failing public education system, it's called vouchers and charter schools, but as we all know, the progressive-socialist axis is adamantly opposed to these policies because it would let poor people attend the same schools that Damon and Obama send their kids to.
Government schools are socialism, yes, but don't expect people like Damon and Obama to submit themselves or their families to the same system as you.
Some people are quite desperate to feign outrage while attacking those on the 'other side'. Most people with just a wee bit of common sense and without an axe to grind would understand that it is not hypocritical for somebody to advocate the importance of quality public school systems while, at the same time, realizing that their somewhat unique situation makes private schools not only their right to utilize but a prudent position. Seriously, what kind of complete numb nuts is going to fault a sitting president for sending his children to a private school?
