So you're gonna cap providers, then uncap them and ask people to pay out of pocket for everything ?

This will increase the national debt not help pay it off.
So why would I be in favor of 100% copay? Your plan will cause me and many like me to have to pay more for poorer quality care. The most I pay out of pocket now is $3,940 a year for me and my wife. That is less than $2000 each max per year. After I reach that amount all my costs are paid. Your plan will screw me over. Why not come up with a plan that will cover the uninsured and allow those of us who happy to remain happy?

I'm wondering if you gave any thought at all to what you said. And if you did, why so much obvious truth got left out.

They have that tax rate because of their health care. The average size for a British home is less than 800 square feet, maybe that is how they can afford higher taxes. Americans are not willing to give up their 2200 square foot homes just to get crappy health care.

So what happens to Medicare For All when there is a Government shutdown and doctors and hospitals are not being paid?

I'm thinking about it. I'm thinking you can't be calling for universal health care and free a guaranteed income while at the same time advocating for importing millions of immigrants. Who is going to pay for all this? The democratic platform of wealth redistribution from the hard-working class to everyone else won't work because for one thing it will get to the point where it isn't profitable to work. Why should you work when everyone else is getting everything for free?

we'd have to make certain that they'd all be considered 'essential personnel', above even the politicians themselves...

or we could just caravan on to canada and storm in... i'd say mexico, but their medical proffession is highly suspect imo,

yes, universal health care so it will be 1/3 the cost, like in Europe, and then switch it to capitalism with published prices and rising copays to save even more. Do you understand?

agreed, that's why we should change our healthcare from multi payer socialism, to single payer socialism, to capitalism with published prices and rising copays as per OP.

Not if the Government is the payer. Who do you propose to be the "payer" in this single payer system?

How else do you think they pay for it. You can't expect something to be paid for and not have any money to pay. Where do you think these other countries with single payer are getting the money to pay for the healthcare?

You seem to think what was left our was insignificant?
No, what it implied and contained was insignificant. What got left our was all reality since the time the world formed. In other words, there was nothing of consequence there at all.

You said the cost would be 1/3. I took that to mean 1/3 of what costs are today. If that is the case then you are reducing cost by 2/3. Someone is now missing out on 2/3 of the money they once had. Who is that and how do you expect them to operate that way. How are you planning to reduce costs by 2/3 it has to happen somewhere. If all of a sudden a grocery store reduced its prices by two thirds it would go out of business very quickly.

Exactly! And if we expect the same type of government here that they have then we will have to raise taxes!
