You're talking to someone in their early 40s with no kids so I don't know what point you think you're making.

That is my point - sex/gender us not determined by if you can reproduce. Lots of people cannot for a huge variety of reasons. But this whole faux outrage over stupid time wasting trivia like a cartoon about an imaginary robot is beyond stupid were it not for the underlying hate speech and attempts to target the LGBTQI community.

You are insisting that sex/gender determination is dependent on reproduction

Not really, especially since the numbers were well on their way there prior to COVID. GenCon, the largest game convention in the country and 2nd largest in the world had over 70,000 attendees the year before COVID, in addition to the convention staff, the convention center staff, and the vendors and their staff. Spiel in Essen, Germany, which is the largest in the world had over 209,000 in 2019 prior to the shutdowns, plus all the different staffs. My family and I have been demonstrators for over a decade, going around to stores to teach game. Some of these games are up to $100 (hence why demonstrators are needed), and many of those games are seriously popular. Board games are the social future. And are a lot better than sitting in front of a screen wasting time....watching sports.

Absolutely! Not all children are born binary - and they did not choose to be born “other”. It does not mean they are less worthy of respect and love

I have yet to see proof that what you are asserting is happening is actually happening. It is like the whole “post birth abortion” rubbish.

Hmmm like the babies that were born sex indeterminate and were “reassigned” as infants.

If you say so :) Sounds the same to me, granted if you're an Asian and farming mats 24 hours a day and selling them to addicted U.S. children, then I can see the benefit of online games.. But if all your doing all day and night is talking bullshit with a group strung out young people on Discord then I really don't see the life benefits to it, unless poor health and 300# is the goal :)

Well yeah, of course. But "teaching moral values" is actually healthy and beneficial to kids - and to society as a whole. The other garbage leads to depression, unhappiness, and high suicide rates.

And that all is subjective, isn't it. We can show that gay kids are more still more likely to engage in self harm behaviors than straight ones, but we can't be sure if its the homosexuality, or the bigotry, bullying, hatred, and bible thumping around homosexuality that causes those problems.

yeah. sure. Or maybe it's the fact that a small % of the population is gay - how can your life not suck (pardon the pun).

Why should we care what you "think"?

Have you taken any psychology courses on the subject? Are you trained, in any way, on the subject?

Your opinions on what makes a transexual the way they are, are as useful as your opinions on the proper operation of an S3G nuclear power plant.

I agree, teaching "moral values" is actually healthy and beneficial to kids and to society as a whole.

I bet we have a HUGE disagreement on what those moral values are.

Maybe. But I'd like to think we'd have more in common as decent upstanding members of society than not. I have been accused of being naive though.

They’re entertaining themselves. No different from any hobby like watching sports, reading, collecting stamps. Fun is fun. As long as it doesn’t take over your life.

But like any hobby it’s about moderation. Too much of anything isn’t exactly good for you. Some
People spend their whole lives trading stocks, making money and being technically “productive”. Many are still miserable angry and empty.

    They don’t.
    It’s an imaginary being

One that the right is currently upset about — I’m sorry “discussing their displeasure with” — imaginary beings.

I bet the right would have been hilarious to watch if Beauty and the Beast were released today.

Lol, trust me, my life does not suck. Never been happier. My sexuality rarely is much of an issue anymore here in Oregon. Not many religious bigots to trouble me even in Lebanon, and I know where I can find plenty of other gay and bisexuals if I want. Social media and internet have definitely made life easier.

Yeah, the difference is that I'm not offering opinions on things I know nothing about.
If I don't know the basics I refer to the experts that do know.

The current RW is proud of their ignorance. They attack experts in subjects as "elitist". It's almost as if education is something to be feared and avoided.

If a child is a minor, then yes, they are involved per federal law. The only exception is whether or not the kid is emancipated and that is a court process with a judge. But that is few and far between. But yes, they are involved if the child is below the age of 18. There are some places that make it a point of emphasis, such as St. Jude's for instance. Some pediatric cancer centers also make that a point of emphasis.

Any operation, even life threatening operation, the physician must obtain permission from the parent if they are to perform any surgery. And for the most part, it is codified in state and federal law. However, the only exception is probably abortion where parental consent is not generally required, but that was considered a universal right to reproductive health. And if you ever had to fill out those health insurance forms, they do ask you, "are you the patient" question constantly, and if not, then they ask who are you filling out this for, Most have a disclaimer that if you a minor for most medical treatments, a parent must consent, generally.

Okay list them. Since “moral values” are highly variable please list them
