Lots of these things turn political. I've seen lots of threads that go that way. But for just one ****ing second I want to wish everyone happy holidays, merry Christmas, and all that jazz. I want ONE thread that just starts that way. And I get that it will devolve and that's fine. I hope you have a great time with your family. I hope you get to reflect on the past year and on what you want to do in the next one. I hope you get a smile on your face when you see how touched someone is when then open that gift that you spend some much emotional effort in picking out. Wishing for visions of sugar plums for all. But, hey, it also wouldn't be a holiday thread if it were all sunshine and rainbows, so throw in those political jabs, too. Wouldn't be time with family without it. As long as things start and end with a jolly pat on the back.
