They also had a "Joint Defense" agreement until they didn't, an agreement where they could collude on what to tell the FBI/DOJ etc,

Type of agreement Cohen had with Trump Organization ,

'An indemnification agreement, also called an indemnity agreement, hold harmless agreement, waiver of liability, or release of liability, is a contract that provides a business or a company with protection against damages, loss, or other burdens.

Apologies. Perhaps I mistakenly assumed the article was saying Cohen was trying to get Trump to pay for Cohen's legal expenses from the prosecution against Cohen.
Rather the legal expenses Cohen wants Trump to pay for was legal work Cohen did for Trump, is that what the article says?

You were not very specific in your post.

    Here we go, all 11.

Litigation listed in Cohen's lawsuit against Trump.

'Michael Cohen's involvement with Donald Trump racked up his legal bills. He wants the Trump Org to pay them.'

    snip:
      • Litigation arising from payments made to Stormy Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford.
      • The federal criminal case he pleaded guilty to.
      • A House of Representatives oversight committee investigation.
      • A House intelligence committee investigation.
      • A House judiciary committee investigation.
      • A Senate intelligence committee investigation.
      • A Senate judiciary committee investigation.
      • Litigation from a dispute over possibly privileged evidence seized by the FBI during raids on his home and office.
      • The Mueller investigation.
      • The New York Attorney General investigation into Trump's charities.
      • This lawsuit you're reading about right now.
Before Cohen became publicly critical of Trump, in 2018, the company had been paying his legal bills. It paid $1.7 million in legal fees for various investigations, and then an additional $250,000 to a law firm representing Cohen after his residence was raided by the FBI, his lawsuit says. Cohen says the payments were part of an indemnification agreement he made with the company.

Around June 2018, Cohen began cooperating with the FBI and was no longer represented by the firm the Trump Organization had been paying. From that point on, Cohen says in his lawsuit, the legal bills kept piling up, but the company wasn't paying them.'

    Trump SETTLED! :roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol:

'Michael Cohen Agrees to Settle Lawsuit With Trump Organization'
    Source: New York Times

Michael D. Cohen, the longtime fixer to Donald J. Trump, who was set to go to trial next week against his former boss’s company in a dispute over legal fees, has agreed to settle his lawsuit with the Trump Organization, lawyers for both parties said at a brief court hearing on Friday.

Mr. Cohen’s lawsuit, filed in 2019, accused the Trump Organization of failing to abide by the terms of a deal and refusing to pay more than $1 million in legal costs. Jury selection for the trial began earlier this week, and opening arguments were scheduled for Monday.

But at the hearing Friday, a lawyer for Mr. Cohen, Hunter Winstead, and a lawyer for the Trump Organization, James D. Kiley, said that they had agreed on terms for a settlement. The settlement is not yet finalized and the details will be kept confidential. The judge in the case, Joel Cohen — who is no relation to Mr. Cohen — said that he would delay the trial pending a final agreement.

A separate lawsuit that Mr. Trump filed against Mr. Cohen in Florida federal court remains active, and Mr. Cohen is still expected to be the star witness against the former president in a Manhattan criminal trial next year.'

The same should go for Trump and his counter lawsuit, pay a settlement to Cohen,
Cohen will have the same evidence and witnesses as this one they just settled.
    Trump never settles though. lol

Since Trump wanted to negotiate the ball was in Cohen's court.
So very well could have been even more than the 1.3 million.
Cohen obviously has so much damning evidence against Trump and his thugs listed in the 11 litigations against Trump & Co.

Cohen's witness list was impressive. lol

    And thank you.

Just like Fox v Dominion, I'm not sure why they waited until the last minute to settle... Certainly, this could have been solved a year ago.... I expect Michael got a litle extra for having to put up with negotiating in bad faith...

This isn't a full Mango loss, but no way he can put this in the win column, keeping his streak intact...

If he settled a year ago he wouldn't have been able to scam millions from the peanut gallery.

They're still negotiating the settlement and seeing the list of 11 litigations and who Cohen is calling as witnesses we know that the defendant/witnesses are petrified of getting on the stand and facing Cohen's lawyer(s).
So....If I were Cohen I'd tell them he's not signing an NDA agreement on the amount settled for.
    What's Trump going to do?
Go to trial now ? lol

EXCLUSIVE: Trump’s Lawyers Refuse to Say if he Will Show for His Sept 6 Deposition by Michael Cohen
Michael Cohen tells us exclusively that Donald Trump’s lawyers have not confirmed he will appear at his scheduled deposition next week

Donald Trump’s deposition in the $500 million Florida federal lawsuit he filed against Michael Cohen was scheduled for September 6 in Miami. Michael Cohen’s lawyers have been trying to confirm Donald Trump will actually show up to the deposition so they can make travel arrangements. Trump’s lawyers are not returning the messages from Cohen’s lawyers and have not confirmed Trump will show up to the deposition — this according to Michael Cohen who broke this news first on his podcast Political Beatdown on the MeidasTouch Network. Cohen said that if Trump refuses to show up, Cohen’s lawyers will have to go to the federal judge to compel Trump’s deposition'.

Another mess that Trump brought on himself by ignoring his bills / obligations. He has a history of ignoring his bills so this is part of his pathological behavior ( totally irresponsible... & juvenile. When he is this irresponsible in his personal life ...... that behavior triallates into his role as POTUS ( as it did and would again) He CANNOT BE TRUSTED!!!!

Cohen was a fool to go out on a limb for Trump as he has lost so much. Sadly he KNOWS it and is trying to reconcile al of it the best he can.

Yes, CNN is reporting that the proceedings will be televised. So Dirty Don will continue to have center stage as his soap opera continues.

This should be a can't miss circus.;-)

    EXCLUSIVE:

' Federal Judge Orders 9 Hour Trump Deposition in Michael Cohen Case'

Michael Cohen broke the news on the Political Beatdown podcast.

'The federal judge overseeing Donald Trump’s frivolous $500 million civil lawsuit against his former attorney Michael Cohen ordered that the disgraced ex-president must show up to be deposed on October 3rd at the time and location of Cohen’s choosing.

On Tuesday, we reported that Cohen had filed a new motion to compel Trump to provide the location and time for the October 3rd deposition.

    Trump refused.

Consequently, Cohen and his legal team now hold all the cards, and the judge has given them free range to depose Trump for a maximum of 9 hours, Cohen revealed Thursday on the MeidasTouch Network’s Political Beatdown podcast'.
