I don't know why Congress doesn't simply invite Trump to testify to Congress on the Russian Investigation. Is it on a perception of not wanting to intervene with the Mueller investigation? But any statements made by Trump under oath can be used in a criminal investigation, it needn't be a private meeting. Trump can have his lawyers, invoke privilege, etc and it'll be the best possible setting for him. For Congress, they can ask and hopefully get answers to questions. Seems fair to settle this probe congressionally.
Congress already investigated him and cleared him of any wrongdoing. Their investigation is over, we only have this witch hunt to deal with now.
