Honest question: if a math teacher gives students two days to complete a test and tells the students not to repeat the questions to their parents, would you have the same reaction? In this case, they didn't want the parents to influence the students' answers to a survey. This CRT hysteria is getting out of control. Asking kids questions about equity isn't critical race theory.

What the heck does a fourth grader know about equity? This is indoctrinating them while they're young.

It is in a country that was established on the concept of equality and not equity.

Notice that we only get one side of the story. What was the teacher's side of this? What does the school say about it? Could that fourh grader have misunderstood something? I'm not passing any judgment until we hear the whole story.

Sounds like the school wanted the kids to answer the questions on their own, as opposed to answering with parents help.

Leave it to FOX to put some spin on it.

    Sure.....of course you would.

"Equity Survey" is yet another example of Newspeak. The left cannot or will not ever use plain English.

They know about their experiences and what they've personally seen. How is it indoctrination to ask children questions about what they've seen and experienced?

Well, they did go to the school board to complain and most people wouldn't do that if they thought it was nothing.

From a link within the article. Why would a teacher want to know how kids identify? How do kids this age even know there are 7,000 genders and growing?

Why would a teacher need to conduct a survey on the experiences of a fourth grader? I can already envision some of the questions: How many cars does your family own? Do both of your parents have jobs? Do you go out to eat often? And then when all the answers come in that's when the shaming and guilt are brought into the classroom.

And people wonder how their children get so detached from their parents and end up lemmings of the state..

    Well here's your sign!!!

Maybe to demonstrate the class stratification in the US, or to talk about how folks have different experiences from what each individual student experiences.

Why do you assume there would be any shaming and guilting going on? Do you often shame folks for their socio-economic class?

Maybe you wonder that, but my soon to be 5th and 7th graders are neither. Instead of blaming schools, parents should be looking in the mirror.

With their indepth investigation of the issue, why didn't Fox provide the survey questions? That would make this conversation more intelligent, instead of us all making guesses as to the motivations.

When it comes to parent and child I think I'd be more pro CHILD then protect and cover for the our CURRENT educational institutions. Hell this isn't a single or worse bit of nonsense we have seen boiling out of agenda driven teachers over the last decade..

In fact, here, I have seen teachers working along with local law enforcement telling school children to report their parents if they suspect they are using drugs to their teachers or a police officer... YA, the collective is trying hard to indoctrinate your children and disconnect them from the family unit in favor of big brother..

If you want to look at the glaring differences between equity and inequity, then I would suggest a class on Hunter Biden. Here's a guy who had nothing going for him, a total loser, a drug addict who was booted out of the military, a guy who records himself having sex with hookers and possibly minors who are his own relatives, and look how inequity moved him into a lifestyle none of use could afford to live.

But is that actually happening when the claim has been the opposite, - that millenials can't detach from their parents and won't even move out of the house until they are in their 30s?

    Can't have it both ways.

Yes. FOX has a reputation of putting a political spin on everything.

Well so you think and hope. To be honest I have my doubt after reading your post minimizing and making odd variable to condone and lessen the act of keeping information from the child's parents ;)

Just another factor in the overall problem.. I seriously doubt parents are teaching their children to milk them for 30 years :) This sort of insanity is coming from outside sources not from hard working Mothers nd Fathers..

Parents should ALWAYS be involved in their kids education. They should always know whats going on, what is being taught, and what is happening at school.

If the school desires to hide something, it's probably parents wouldn't approve.

They are our kids, not the schools, not the teachers, and not the governments.

They are silent, and probably for good reason.

The school district hasn’t yet responded to a request for comment. It’s unclear what value a survey holds if respondents don’t understand the questions.

"And what gender do YOU identify as, little Johnny/Jane?" Sweet Mother of God!!! How much LONGER are people going to allow themselves and NOW their children to be held in thrall to a miniscule portion of the population peddling their sexual snake oil with the full support of the government???

I don't see how that's relevant, nor do I understand why you suggest exposing fourth graders to sexual content and drugs like that.
