Im not excuses for anyone, I was asking if the thread was made purely because the incident was violent and bloody or because the person involved was black. Some of you have claimed the former, but for a lot of you, I know for a fact it’s the latter reason.

Possibly the same reason the word black is often capitalized in the headlines, as though color was a determining factor. How often do you see headlines like "White police officer kills Black suspect", but rarely, if ever do you see "BLACK homicide suspect sought" or "Gang of BLACK looters robs jewellery store".
