What was I supposed to say more about Miami where there are 70k more Hispanics in the GOP than are democrats or that others besides Cubans there are joining the GOP? A lot of Nicaraguans and Venezuelans have moved to Florida as well.

What you should have “said more about” was that your claim was a recent effect…when, in fact, that has been the situation in Miami for some time.

But, I understand how desperate you must be feeling….

Good. The future says the Hispanics will leave the Democratic party. That party can’t pander to everyone. The blacks are catching on too, and it’s pissing them off. They are angry because they alone want to be the victims. When the country eventually turns majority Hispanic, in however many decades that may take, the blacks are going to beg for the whites back. The Hispanics aren’t going to put up with their BS.

The thread was about total Hispanic voter registration and vote results in Miami Dade, not just Cuban Americans. Younger Cuban Americans had been trending toward the democrats until Obama made certain decisions. also, why did Trump do so much better in Miami Dade in 2020 than he did in 2016

And yet the article did draw a direct comparison and contrast with what happened there in 2020 with 2016 which was fairly recent in political terms. How do you explain the difference in Hispanic vote over just 4 years? You can’t write that off to long ago issues.

It turns out that when you flee an oppressive communist regime.... You're not any quick hurry to vote for their first cousins

    Start here:

The Cubans in Dade (practically) single-handedly delivered Florida to Trump in 2020...
Around 55 percent of Florida's Cuban-American vote went to Trump, according to NBC News exit polls, while 30 percent of Puerto Ricans and 48 percent of "other Latinos" backed Trump. Trump won the coveted battleground state with its 29 electoral votes.
Trump drastically improved his support in Miami-Dade County, going from 333,999 votes in 2016 to at least 529,16 votes this year. Biden, however, wasn’t able to grow Democratic support in the county. Clinton got 624,146 votes there in 2016 and with 95 percent of the vote tallied, Biden had 613,086.

    Fake news.

Until the remarkable DeSantis Administration the GOP has NEVER led in voter registrations in FL. They do now. Remember when Dems assured us that Purple FL was going to turn blue under the relentless irresistible assault of demographics? hahahahahahaha! Instead, it turned more Red!

    ¡He votado!

    2022 GOP 5,194,845 DEMS 4,963,930
    2017 GOP 4,544,708 DEMS 4,807,950
    1972 GOP 974,999 DEMS 2,394,604

Seems that demographics crap is kicking some Dems right in the hiney!

So the described difference between 2016 and 2020 isn’t recent in your mind?

Trump won Florida in 2016 despite losing Miami Dade by 290k votes so, no, Trump improving among Hispanics in Miami Dade to where he only lost it by 83k did not turn over Florida to him. If Republicans can keep it close in Miami Dade they will not lose a statewide election.

    YES...It DID!
It was the KEY (Decisive) Factor...
Everybody (Repeat EVERYBODY) who possessed even a clue about Florida 2020 KNOWS that the Cuban GOP Vote in Dade County Decided It for Trump...

Really? Then how did Trump win Florida in 2016 with 200,000 fewer votes from Miami Dade than he got in 2020?

Hispanics down there are very well aware of how "Democratic Socialism" turns into just plain Socialism and, before you know what hit you, you can't do anything about it.
