More than 84 million Americans expected to travel over winter holidays as cases surge

We had the Thanksgiving surge of Death and Dispair and here comes Christmas 2020. How many Friends and Relatives do Americans need to kill before they get the message to keep Holiday gatherings to a minimum. Christmas 2021 will be here in a Year, but many Americans will not live to see it, because they're going to get infected 6 days from now, because a stupid relative just had to travel on a plane to celebrate Christmas during a Pandemic. Maybe America deserves what's happening to us for being so Dumb!

My wife and I were planning to go see my family. They'd been being pretty safe, we've completely isolated over the past 14 days and planned on isolating again when we got back, masking up while we were there, etc.

Yesterday we got the call from my sister -- my brother-in-law has COVID. Everyone else is getting tested soon, but I think it is safe to say my sister has it too. My nieces and nephew have been staying at a cabin with my aunt, so if they test negative, they'll probably stay with her for a while. Brother-in-law currently only has mild symptoms; hopefully they stay that way.

There was one guy at my brother-in-law's station who refused to wear a mask, was watching far-right TV every time they were on-call, constantly talking about how it was no deadlier than the flu, etc. The other guys tried keeping their distance from him and they were diligent about wearing masks and cleaning surfaces, but I guess sometimes when they were in the truck together there was no way to safely distance. The department made everyone test when that guy started showing symptoms.

Ignorance like this is getting people killed.

What is or is not essential is rather subjective, especially for business travelers or people needing to go see a sick relative or to a funeral (none of which would be "essential" in my mind).

Anyway, yes the holidays will kill people. Always does. Now instead of 2nd Amendment advocates waiting for holiday death tolls in Chicago to roll out why we all need guns, democrats wait for covid spikes to declare themselves holier than all. In the end, all I can control is myself. I won't be traveling but never travel for Christmas anyway. All my shopping that is being done is done. No non-family guests will be in attendance. What others do is up to them.

 

I've had to travel three times since September (all essential). I found that the airport and airline staff were great at enforcing rules and taking precautions. I followed all quarantining rules to the letter and haven't experienced so much as a sneeze. I've been tested four times - all for travel purposes - and each time negative. It isn't the actual travelling that causes me concern - it is the large gatherings that will ensue, without any quarantining after travel.

I take precautions and not traveling, because I personally know someone that has had it and she's got a whole Plethora of issues she's dealing with I'm not so concerned about myself, but if I needed to travel to go see an elderly relative and brought with me Covid-19 and infected them, I'd have issues dealing with that.

Not sure if the Sky is falling for you personally, but for the families of of the 325,000 People that have Died in the last year from Covid-19, Most of them alone without family by their sides, Yes! the Sky is Falling. I listen to the interviews from Doctors and Nurses trying to save people in Hospitals that are admitting Covid-19 Patients into a temporary ICU in Parking garages,because they are at capacity and I believe that they really are dealing with a Crisis. If myself wearing a Mask and social distancing for awhile longer until enough people get this Vaccine, that's what I'm going to do. Not sure how some people can still believe this is a Hoax.

These are the people who make the laws/executive orders. And obviously they know that masks and social distancing do not stop the spread.

 

They're selfish elitists who don't think any law, COVID related or otherwise, applies to them and never have. And if they don't think that masks and distancing helps then they're idiots on top of that.

 

Medical and cloth masks do not attenuate 1 micron particulates from normal breathing that carry over 80% of the viral load. They don't prevent the spread or protect the wearer. The only thing they do is stop the large particles from coughing. Also asymptomatic people have very small viral loads and do not cause pandemics. If you are coughing and in any of the high risk groups stay away from people regardless if they have masks.

 

So masks do reduce risk of infection. And please explain why my mask gets wet even though water molecules are hundreds of times smaller than the virus

Aside this ... what masks do the do the doctors wear again, when they make these high risk operations on open hearts and so on? So these masks are not really useful at least when any infection during these operations will cause the death at least?

I just heard a story this morning where a passenger lied on some Ready to Fly questionaire about Covid-19 symptons on a Flight and then had a medical emergency that required CPR, now the passengers that helped him have Covid-19. I've read other stories of Anti Maskers who've caught Covid-19 who've died and the ones that survived admit they were wrong and now tell people to wear Masks. If someone believes the Virus is a Hoax, doesn't wear a mask and doesn't Social Distance, maybe they should give up any rights to medical treatment if they get infected and if they do fly on a jet and lied about their Covid-19 symptons, they can be held responsible for the medical costs and any lawsuits brought upon them by the people they infected.

You don't need to deem any other source to be extreme in order to understand that InfoWars is extreme.

No one with two brain cells to rub together should find this a difficult concept. If you can't figure out that the above is unhinged, then I can't help you.
