    That is false.

A little perspective is in order. Do you know how many arrests police make?

    https://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/latest-crime-stats-released

Of course you can cite examples of police misconduct, but keep things in perspective. When police in U.S. make 11.2 million arrests in a year (nearly half a million for violent crimes), there will inevitably be incidents where they use excessive force or make a bad arrest. Those incidents need to be dealt with, but you are painting with an awfully broad brush, friend, and the vast majority of them are good people.

"Anti-government types" are not pro- "military, police, politicians, and judges". By definition.

All of this is completely false, something you have bought into without even viewing the facts.

Fact. Cops don't like other bad cops.

Fact. Cops are the victim far more than the aggressor.

Fact. Very very very few cops abuse thier power. So holding it against all of them is not reasonable.

Expecting them to go renegade on dirty cops who slip through the cracks is not reasonable in the same way they can't do that to civilians who get away with crime.

You are an emotionally fueled, irrational bigot. Attacking an entire group of people for the acts of so, so few. And the unfortunate thing is, so many people like you are so outspoken. Speaking on things they have not even the slightest clue about, or done any amount of research on outside of watching cop block or some equivalent lolol.

So easy to "rile up" the uneducated.

If cops don't like other bad cops, then why in the cases I listed did the entire PD circle the wagons and defend the killer cops? Cases in which the evidence was overwhelming that the cops acted improperly?

Go renegade on bad cops? That's not what I wrote. I wrote that cops should hold themselves to a high standard out of respect for their profession and the great power granted to them, and they should have zero tolerance for bad cops. When a cop kills an innocent kid who was no threat, that cop should be dismissed from the PD and never hired as a cop again. Why? Because despite the training, that cop has shown that they could not make the correct decision and their mistake had mortal consequences. And that cop should face the same justice system a non-cop would face.

And how do you know this about me? Usually when people make your types of comments about an anonymous person, its because your world has been shaken and you cannot respond with fact and a rational argument. So you attack the messenger as a way to avoid addressing painful issues. Its a safety valve for people who are over stressed.

My world has been shaken? Yeah, by the vast amount of ignorance from people like you whom follow a couple incidents, believe you have it all figured out, all the while ignoring the facts.

You are objectively wrong. Your evidence does not at all defeat actual statistics

Then why don't you address the issues? Obviously there are major problems with excessive force used by cops, and no accountability. These problems have been around for years, long before BLM.

There is no MAJOR issue. There are small isolated incidents that do not represent law enforcement as a whole, nor even close to it.

For years, there have been organizations tracking and protesting excessive force and unaccountability of cops. There have been books written about the problem, for example The Rise of the Warrior Cop (Radley Balko, 2014), web sites tracking police killing innocent people have been around for 10 years.

There is a widespread problem with cops attitude and the way the system works. It allows and encourages cops to abuse people. You can try to turn a blind eye, you can try to excuse cops by blaming BLM, that doesn't change the situation.

And these books and protests dont change the FACTS. And the facts show that it is such a small portion of the police that have done this. What should be protested is the amount of criminals out there and giving the police the teeth and support to catch them. Instead, all the attention is on ALL of the police, for the actions of so very few.

A small proportion of people doing heinous acts carry far more weight than a large proportion doing small misdeeds.

Cops have tremendous power, they are given the power and the means to kill and imprison. Just a few cops abusing that power outweighs a huge number of cops who do not abuse that power.

And its not just a few cops. When one cop murders and the entire police department and judicial system rallies around him, then they are all complicit in the murder.

Just ask the parents of Baby Bou Bou. The entire Habersham PD rallied around the cop who threw that stun grenade n the baby crib, they defended the deed, and in court blamed the parents.

If a normal person threw a stun grenade into a baby's crib and severely burned the baby, the person would be deeply upset, he would be in anguish, overflowing with apologies, and doing all he could to help. But not a cop, a cop worries about himself, concocts an alibi, blames innocent people, does whatever he can to protect himself.

What a fine example of that "thin blue line" that supposedly protects civilization from the criminal hordes. I wonder which side of that line cops are on?

The idea that entire departments rally around a cop who does bad is so completely objectively wrong and misguided. You have no bearing on reality. Im sure it has happened before, and it is a shame when it does, but it does not account for the reality that the VAST MAJORITY (all but less than a percent of a percent) are good people doing a job most couldn't imagine doing.

A cop who throws a stun grenade in a babys crib WOULD feel sorry. To think they wouldnt is ridiculous, they always do apologize for their misdeeds. (the good ones who just make mistakes). And it IS the parents fault. You mistake defending an action that went wrong, with not being apologetic. I can shoot a person whom is holding someone hostage, and accidentally hit the hostage and be apologetic but still defend my intended action.

You are so easily baited by propaganda designed to grab emotions. You really have done 0 research.

And yet I am the one who posts facts about real world incidents, and you are the one who just makes opinionated claims. Where is your research?

You have presented nothing factual, you have not referenced the FBI web site, all you have presented is your opinion that its all a "misunderstanding". I have given you names of high profile nationally covered incidents which are well documented, google the names and you can find detailed reports on each case.

You have cited individual cases and claimed your view of police as a whole is justified, when it is not due to the vast amounts of evidence that overwhelmingly show you are wrong.

The evidence of such is so easily accessible and has been being presented and unreasonably ignored for years I no longer have the patience to spoon fees the willfully ignorant information they will just ignore, because it does not go with thier narrative.

But nonetheless it is out there, and easily accessible if you are interested in being objective. And it shows you are absolutely wrong in your assumptions.

I am deeply familiar with the FBI web site, the UCR, the annual Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted reports, and more. All you had to do was step up to the plate. But run away.

And I would add that members of the public treating them like they are an occupying force and failing to recognize the much larger flipside to the bad apples that get most of the attention will also contribute.

Make your case. That's what a forum is all about. If you are not going to make your case, then there is no point in posting.

OR you could do research before forming an opinion.

Point in posting is spreading the truth. If the truth is so readily available and easily found, to expect to be spoon fed is unreasonable.

I have done the research, and I've posted it here for years - links to the FBI site, UCR data tables, CDC WISQARS database, sites that track police abuse, and more. What I'm asking you to do is to prove you have done the research, and it appears you have not.
