Anti-government right wingers should criticize police brutality and tyranny if they have any principle at all. But they don't because they are deluded by their "politically correctness".

It sounds like your beef is with pro-government right wingers, although you should be just as concerned with pro-government leftists and centrists.

 

No! Most cops are decent! There's some bad in every group, police are no different. Unfortunately they kill instead of just molesting children like the minority of bad preachers.

 

All of the Police that I know are outstanding people. When I was a kid I had a few Police Officers as footy coaches and I find that most Police Officers are the kinds of people that go beyond their jobs and volunteer their free time to contribute to their communities. It makes sense to me that so many people that work as Police give their time to local footy teams, or to organizations like the Police Citizens Youth Club. I have had a bit to do with PCYCs and its these types of things that the police do that are often forgotten by the police hating liberals of the world. Part of the problem in my opinion is that liberals are classist and they hate poor and uneducated people - so liberals see the average police officer as being far below them. The best way to solve this problem in my opinion is to raise the quality of policing and for there to be more well paying policing careers for university educated citizens. Ideally every Police Officer on the street would be university educated but to begin with we can create more high paying careers for front line Police Officers that require a university education.

 

With more guns around than people, being a cop IS a super dangerous job. Barney Fife wouldn't last a weekend in Mayberry these days. BUT, it's the direction we've decided on.

In 2014, only 51 cops were feloniously killed (killed by bad guys). So far this year, in Chicago there have been 544 homicides - in just one city 10 times more than all the cops killed in the USA in all of 2014.

Being a cop in certain places and with a certain job is dangerous, but in general being a cop is not dangerous. Its propaganda.
