    Belgium has turned into Siberia! It is like -15°C here.

    Anyways -- Russia is increasingly popular.

    A few months ago you had the popular historical TV-series "Back In The USSR" with two Belgian reporters who started reporting on Russia when they were 25 y.o. back in the early '80s.

    Now, there is a new TV-series "Rusland Voor Beginners" (or "Russia For Beginners"). This is a real "honour". Previously we had "India For Beginners", "China For Beginners" and "Brazil For Beginners".

    The host of the show is the Russian wife of Belgian Kosmonaut (and first European Space Commander in the ISS) Frank De Winne -- Lena De Winne:

    About 10 "famous" Belgians go "exploring" Russia on their "study field". The first episode was about "youth culture" in Siberia (Irkutsk).

    Second episode: my sister deleted it from the harddrive before I could watch it.

    Third episode: famous Belgian artist/singer went to St Petersburg and Moscow to discover the "art scene" and modern "russian music". He found that Russia had a lot of catching up to do, the Russians that appeared in the episode said the same. A lot "avant-garde" Russians appeared and they said that in Russia you have: (1) cosmpolitan Moscow and (2) the rest.

    Fourth episode: I'm going to watch right away, and then go to sleep!

    RUSSIANS CAN WATCH FOR THEMSELVES: the episodes are entirely in Russian and English (with Dutch subtitles) because Mrs. Lena doesn't speak Dutch. So you can watch all the episodes via following link:

    Really, there is a lot of stuff about Russia on TV here nowadays.

    I even would say "popular". :thumbsup:

    He was withdrawn from active duty and ordered back to the class room to relearn his FSB lessons .
    He nearly lost his job which was to nullify Raymondo who is on the FSB list of foreign agitators .
    Same with Rexody .

    My Grandson , Imran -Bill the Third , is CEO for a fast growing chain of UK corner shops . Up to 1743 last Friday . We have name Salami - Islami which British people is finding ever so funny .
    Through him , I keep our hands on the UK pulse and also the lentils .
