The whole concept of representation is a silly farce. It is a recent trend and is not rooted in anything science. Many, many people when asked their hero's and influences look NOTHING like them. I don't have to be black to want to be like Magic, Mike or Lebron. How many rock musicians cited as influences blues, jazz and other musicians that looked nothing like them? When people look for influences, heroes, or people they want to be like, appearance shouldn't even be a factor. I wanted to be like the people who I looked up to because of what they could DO and not because of what they looked like.
