Anti-vaxxers don't listen to reason or to facts, so, no. Waste of time.

Joe isn't doing enough to counter anti-vaxxer propaganda.
    Whataboutism.
The survey is not of random population.

Would you listen to a doctor? I doubt it.
Case-in-point about "being told things that don't end up being true."
In British Columbia, Canada, this is the situation:

"Past week, cases per 100,000 population after adjusting for age (Sept. 10-16)
    • Not vaccinated: 313.7
    • Partially vaccinated: 91.6
    • Fully vaccinated: 28.6
Past two weeks, cases hospitalized per 100,000 population after adjusting for age (Sept. 3-16)
    • Not vaccinated: 44.9
    • Partially vaccinated: 8.7
    • Fully vaccinated: 1.4
After factoring for age, people not vaccinated are 32.2 times more likely to be hospitalized than those fully vaccinated."

    You're spreading propaganda.

Fake News. No one claimed the measurement covered all 21 months of the pandemic, rather, the current situation, and the current situation is Oregon's cases/MM have jumped two places just since your post, two hours ago, confirming my point.

Joe is wandering around the WH with his bathrobe open and a vacant look on his face, patting himself on the back with one hand and doing god knows what with the other.

Interesting. We have found similar occurring around the plexiglass guards everyone put it, what it actually does is create an area of much higher virus density because it's not being diluted by mixing with the other air. Employers still use them because they are mandated, and with 3 hour disinfecting wipe downs and close of business fogging are pleased to report that while folks show up to work infected, many report than no one has transferred an infection to anyone else in the workplace.

It's mind-boggling. We have a safe and efficacious intervention to drastically reduce the number of hospitalizations and death. For those who accept it, it's doing just that, with extremely rare adverse reactions, thousands of times rarer than the troubles caused by the virus itself. It's free, and it's widely available.

Still, millions of people don't want it, and prefer to take unproven and potentially hazardous medications like ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine, or prefer to go without any protection at all (including, these are often the same people who don't believe in masks).

It seems to me like collective insanity. It would never have happened to this degree if Covid-19 hadn't evolved into a political hot potato rather than what it is, an infectious disease that caused a public health issue. Sure, we'd still have some anti-vaxxers but proportionally, just a handful.

70 million people choosing the boneheaded path? That's political. Antivaxxers are not that powerful and that convincing to stop 70 million people from accepting this simple, free, safe, and efficacious way to protect themselves and their loved ones.

If this thing had NEVER acquired political undertones (as in, both parties, all leaders, all politicians, including the two major presidential candidates, hopefully appearing together, all of them asking the population to fight off this common enemy that doesn't discriminate between Democrats, Independents, and Republicans), I bet that the rates of vaccination and mask use would have been significantly higher, without the need for any mandates (I ultimately am against mandates since I believe that they backfire and make people angry and less likely to listen to reason; I'd have preferred a concerted bipartisan effort to engage in an educational campaign to ask for the public's cooperation).

You could not provide the reason why antiwaxers who had COVID should further stimulate their immunity system.
As with any stimulation there is are limits, immune system is not endless.

You trashed the Oregon governor when in fact she has kept Oregonians relatively safe.

He's right about anti-vaxxers. They don't listen, ignore experts and science, and promote conspiracy theories and make false claims.

You're ignoring the basic facts that Oregon has the fourth lowest death rate.

Tens of millions of Americans have been vaccinated. We're watching for adverse reactions. Anti-vaxxers say there is a conspiracy to hide the truth.
Many are nearly cut off from mainstream news sources. Reaching them with information is more difficult in the past decade. It can be done, however.
Boneheaded indeed. Getting vaccinated not only makes it less likely you'll test positive, but it may keep you off a slippery slope that begins with a trip to the hospital.
I put the onus on Trump for this not happening.
I think we may have missed the opportunity to try reason instead of coercion, so I guess we're going to find out how vaccine passports work.

Yeah, it looks as though I may have sorted on total cases per 100,000, not deaths per 100,000. Multitask fail.

"Scorned?" Oh, I'll live with it.

The next thing you're going to see are companies insisting employees working with the public be vaccinated.

The data says that problems resulting from the vaccines are real but rare. How rare? 6 problems per one million vaccinated individuals. There is no data that suggests that problems resulting from vaccination outweigh the problems resulting from an infection of the virus. This from a TV interview of the head of CDC today. So if the decision is based on odds, the odds favor getting vaccinated as the best bet. We face rare odds that we could be struck by lightning but we still go outside during rainstorms. We face odds that we will die in a car crash yet we drive cars. Stop thinking about a very rare occurrence and think about acceptable risk.
