I have to be honest I hear people talk about this but have never in my life seen a glory hole. What kind of places do you guys go to. I get I live in Iowa but take vacations every year. Been to San Francisco many times, San Diego, Vegas, Miami , New Orleans, Denver, Seattle, Vancouver, Phoenix, Chicago, and many other places, I just do not see them. I do not how every go to bath house and sex shop were I would maybe expect to see them,.
A glory hole is commonly used in a persons home, apartment or hotel room, so they can offer sex with another male, where neither can see each other. It can be as simple as a curtain across a door with a hole cut into it around waist high, the sexual act is preformed by one man inserting his penis into the hole or bending over and backing his butt up to it, and the other male or female, depending on what is agreed to on the other side completes the process. The idea is for both parties to remain anonymous, but by that goal, it is often used to begin extorting the recipient after the fact, commonly by video recording the target to be extorted without his knowledge. The red flag is in all outside sex is based on what is referred to being on the DL, (Down Low), that indicates the target is screwing around and can be leveraged.
Huh? I’ve been a rampant fairy now for just on 55 years and I’ve never encountered a glory hole in a person’s home, apartment or hotel room. Where on earth did this idea come from? Reminds me of the puritanical victorian game of having sex in night atire with only a small opening for the important pieces so that those sad individuals wouldn’t have to contemplate human nakedness. .
Reminds me of a famous Melbourne beat (public toilet haunted by fairies) in the 1960’s. A wooden door to a cubicle had a hole cut in it. Next day the local council covered both sides of the door with tin. Soon a hole was cut into both pieces of tin. The council then removed the wooden/tin door replacing it with a piece of solid steal. Next morning they found someone had used an oxy-aceteline cutter to burn a large hole in the steel. The council must have given up. They completely removed the door. Next night a very elegant red velvet curtain was installed with gold curtain rings and a gold curtain rod. Queens sometimes have a fabulous sense of humour even if their public morals leave a lot to be desired.
Odd? Maybe my gay sense of humour biases my view but I think this scenario is hysterically funny. I suspect the council workers did too as those curtains apparently remained in place for weeks in fact they became somewhat of a tourist attraction with locals men and women popping in to photograph them .
I have never made any presumptions about your personal experiences. If you have though, you are definitely in the minority.
I’n my misguieded sluttish youth I encountered far too many of them. The depressed me as I took them to be a symbol of shame forcing those who used them into anonymous, unloving sex. Not that I’m against sex for it’s own sake but very early on is hit me these silly do it through the hole games were all about the participants not wanting to admit to themselves their gayness. I suspect many who did play that game imagined they weren’t even part gay deluding themselves they were straight and just seeking ‘relief’. If anyone is to blame in the long run it’s societies loathing for all things homosexual and the intense preassure it places on anyone with male/male urges. The whole thing is a tragedy and symbolic of our species capacity for self delusion and self denial.
As this is about having a problem with gay men I need to confess I have one problem with my kind. There’s a sub-tribe of gay men who are so bound up in the theatrics and hysteria of being gay they refuse to ever be serious about anything. I can best illustrate this by describing a encounter I had a few decades ago. I was part of an AIDS care team on which we provided at home palliative nursing for over two years. When the client finally died we had the standard ‘de-briefing’ session chaired by an AIDS council psychologist. A fairly intense process as some may imagine. Afterwards, as we often did, we moved on to a gay hotel nearby. One of the patrons approached me in what I suppose was an attempt at a pick up. ‘And what have you been up to sweet thing’ or words to that effect. I told him about our loss and the debriefing to which he responded. “Well you’re dreary” tossed his head in the air and walked off. I had an almost overpowering urge to follow him and punch him. So, at times even fairies like me can come over all homophobic.
As a strait male I will tell you we have our own "Sub-Tribe" that is equally dramatic in their own way. These are the machoman, cowboy gunrackers and are to be avoided if at all possible. Pity and humor are the main feelings they create in more enlightened men and adult women, though they will probably never know.
Here’s a rare representative of a sub-tribe of women I really admire. Eve-Anna Manley owns and manages a high end audio company making domestic hi-fi and studio gear of world standard. https://www.manley.com Rides a Harley too, not that that’s any guarantee of respectability. And no, she’s not a dyke. Here’s a sub-tribe of gay men, the Sydney Convicts rugby team. They won the Bingham Cup a few years ago against other gay rugby teams from all over the planet. Two of them are close friends. They have two boys and make fabulous parents making sure they have frequent contact with their biological mother . The woman in this shot is their masseur/physiotherapist. Lucky bitch!
I AM part of a sub-tribe in that I am a strait conservative male with interest in knowledge and betterment. I still dwell in the mentality once championed by what were called "Reagan Republicans" which have now become an endangered species. While I understand you in particular have issues with me personally due to my being a Moderator of another forum, this fixation is unhealthy for you mentally and I'm sure you have far more important and pressing problems to deal with. I request you simply move on Clax and grow up a bit....try to focus on your real life problems and your husband/child instead of a stranger on the internet.
Talking to you once in awhile on the internet it's not obsession. I think you have some wishful thinking
Off topic but can you briefly tell us what a ‘Reagan Republican’ is? No doubt very different from a Trumplican .
We (I) stood for an Ethical Morality that was called family values. We pushed fiscal responsibility in personal and Government life. We expected strong and capable defense with a Capital D in Defense. We understood the need for Taxation but also believed in fairness. These were a few of the guiding principles....and the reasons I became an Independent.
Well then, if I was an American citizen and if you were standing on that basis I’d probably think of voting for you even if you’d be on the wrong side of the house. As it is I’ll just keep sending my friends in the US donations to send on to Pete Buttigieg’s campaign. Well, I’ve got the 20Pete20 T-shirt already so I’m committed.
If your ONE problem with homosexuality is that homosexuals sometimes sexually harass people, then that is also your problem with heterosexuality, and it is probably a much more prevalent problem among heterosexuals.
In all fairness, he was explaining that they harass him. He probably doesn't get harassed by heterosexuals so he doesn't Experience that problem.
