It's been a weird 21st-century so far, and it's still only just getting started. But one thing's for sure -- the Palestinians cannot remain in Gaza... no way.
I think Esau mean this Black prison: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lindela_Repatriation_Centre I visited South Africa few years ago - I met there some people from Mozambique who complained that Black South Africans are bigger racists than Whites. A Black non-SA taxi driver told me he never takes people to Soweto, because Black SA there just kill immigrants. This is the picture I made there:
My "desire"...? The only desire I've had for a very long time is for us to stop being "Uncle Sugar" and "Policeman of the World" and to start acting as though we actually give a damn about OUR OWN COUNTRY, and doing what's in OUR own best interests! In that respect, the entire 21st-century so far has been a total, ****ing disaster!
BooBoo's massacre of thousands of innocent Gazans has kept the corrupt degenerate in power, but has befouled Israel . His days are numbered. TEL AVIV, Israel — A top Israeli Cabinet minister headed to Washington on Sunday for talks with U.S. officials, sparking a rebuke from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to an Israeli official, in a sign of widening cracks in Israel’s wartime government nearly five months into its war with Hamas. The trip by Benny Gantz, a centrist political rival who joined Netanyahu’s hard-line government early in the war following Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack on southern Israel, comes amid deep disagreements between Netanyahu and President Joe Biden over how to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza and create a post-war vision for the enclave... U.S. priorities in the region have increasingly been hampered by Netanyahu’s hard-line Cabinet, where ultranationalists dominate. Gantz’s more moderate party at times acts as a counterweight to Netanyahu’s far-right allies... Netanyahu has tanked in popularity since the war broke out, according to most opinion polls, with many Israelis holding him responsible for Hamas’ cross-border raid that left 1,200 people, mostly civilians, dead and roughly 250 people, including women, children and older adults, abducted and taken into Gaza, according to Israeli authorities. That is certainly your right. But it was Hamas who chose war on 7 October. They made a choice that put their own population at risk.
The IDF is praised for being effective, elite, surgical, powerful, and disciplined. So how do they, at Netanyahoo's direction, manage to kill mostly women and children and not know it and "without targeting them"? Bunk. They're working to destroy the next generation of Palestinians and the one following. Ethnic cleansing. Even the UN and the ICJ say so and they've studied the events far more than either you or I have.
Hamas deliberately hide their fighters under and behind civilians to create the problem your post captures. That, again, is a Hamas choice. And don't forget, the only information on alleged civilian casualty numbers comes from Hamas. As for the UN, their people participated in the 7 October attack so they have no standing. The US does not participate in the ICJ precisely because of the risk of politically-motivated proceedings.
How so? I mean, to the extent that they are using women and children as human shields, perhaps. But if Israel is bombing Gaza indiscriminately (or with reckless disregard for collateral damage), that is on Israel. Hamas may have invited this conflict. But that doesn’t give Israel license to kill non-combatants when it can be avoided.
Israel does not bomb indiscriminately. They even give notice. Hamas does not allow their people to get to safety because they want the casualties. They have tunnels, but those are reserved for the terrorists. That leaves Israel in a position to either push to destroy hamas, or allow their own people to be raped, mutilated, murdered, and kidnapped.
The IDF take as much care to avoid civilian casualties as the US does, perhaps more. And the IDF is by miles the most protective of civilians in the Middle East. This is of course in stark contrast with Hamas, who target civilians. Hamas brought on the war intending, IMHO, to create large numbers of civilian casualties among Palestinians.
What do you think Biden is going to do? He doesn't have the political capital to do anything of substance in a campaign season. Israel has the goal of weeding out the terrorist group Hamas from Gaza. No country would be willing to live next to a terrorist organization that attacked their civilians the way Hamas has done.
Nearly half of their bombs are dumb bombs that can’t be used for targeted strikes. https://www.cnn.com/2023/12/13/politics/intelligence-assessment-dumb-bombs-israel-gaza/index.html
