There are high alcohol beer out there which really aren't beer.
No head virtually and taste far more like cheap Port wine.
Plus many of those Aged beer/ale from Europe that sit for
years/decades in old storage cellars have turned into poison.
Almost impossible to drink and WILL make one sick.
Just a half a glass will cause a headache and one to require
    lying down.
TOP GEAR did a show on Vintage Aged Beer from Europe.
And yes the host got sick.He was drinking poison.

I kinda like Beer to have foam or a head. Those super high alc.
Beers are NOT Beer. They have NO head. They taste far more like
cheap fortified wine or the stuff Real Bowery bumbs used to imbibe.
Sometimes using cheesecloth and a mason jar to filter
a can of sterno.Adding some squeezed orange and called " Squeeze ".
Taste cheap fortified wine like MD 20/20 and that's about what
those high alc. beer taste like.
Taste nothing like beer.it's a gimmick.A fad ... like going crazy
at Frat Parties and binge drinking.

I have my preferences with beer as well, and, I've stuck to Yuengling for the most part for some time now...

That one just does it for me...
