    A couple of years ago when crime started getting rediculous here, they sent the State Police to help APD out and magically, crime dropped by a lot. Now she could have done the same thing and would have been applauded. Instead, she would rather send the State Police after the people that are peacefully protesting instead of the idiot teenagers driving stolen cars and killing kids in their beds.

    She's just grandstanding and looking for a job in D.C.

    There were no arrests or citations issued at Sunday's protest, with law enforcement on site. Which means that State Police either disobeyed her, or she couldn't be bothered to send them to a protest where she knew her unconstitutional order was being openly defied.

    Torrez wrote that despite his role as a chief legal officer to defend officials who are sued, he is also there to uphold and defend each New Mexican's constitutional rights. He also wrote that the order does not hold up to the standards of rights set in the state or federal constitutions, respectively.

    Apparently, the anti-gun wing of the Democratic Party (that is, a huge % of Dems) decided the governor is expendable.

    This is the "cause mommy said so" mentality that so permeates the democratic party these days. I heard a CNN anchor actually read the New Mexico constitution to her on air that showed that what she had done was unconstitutional.. Her response? Cause mommy said so...

    My bet is the governor was silent about the youngsters who died or were maimed from injecting bioweapons into their bodies.....

    Actually, she's been very much against anything that has to do with the border problem. The first thing she did when elected was to pull the National Guard away from the border.

    Additionally, this year, the Dems in the legislature tabled pretty much every crime bill.

    This is a TRO, which everyone expected; the judge did not overturn her EO, but suspended it due to the pending court actions.
    The actual rulings on the constitutionality of the EO will, without exception, come back as unconstitutional.

    With any luck the federal courts will dismiss the inevitable claims of "moot", and this will go to the USSC, which is sure to further crush the hopes and dreams of the anti-gun left.

    Never underestimate the stupidity of the blue state voter. You know, the ones who put her there in the first place. Celebrating the TRO is like congratulating a house guest for using the toilet instead of &hitting in the sink.

    Yea, that's what prompted my post about having a lot of additinal time added to gang crime similar to hate crime. Death penalty would be fine with me along with a double tap just to make sure.

    that has been a constant strategy of the gun banning movement -one wing calls for uber-extremist bullshit and the more incremental banners call for less extreme measures and demand that we accept the latter as a "reasonable" compromise.
