If we were to make decisions on social funding with direct individual popular vote, racist agendas could really flourish. In florida, the hispanic population would have complete control of everything. That would be absolutely horrifying. All the taxes would go towards the funding of La Raza baby factories we like to call "churches" around here. Bad Idea.

All the federal government should be doing is managing foreign relations, the military, and managing the currency so I fail to see how direct democracy would be appropriate.
