New York judge lifts Trump gag order in civil fraud trial over free speech concerns

This is probably the first domino to fall. The anti-Trump judges and prosecutors are going to learn the hard way that they aren't above the law.

 

Ok, so you’re very much in favor of freedom of speech. Trump “tweeted” today that as president he would shut down MSNBC. He would curtail their right to freedom of speech.

Do you approve?

 

Sounds like a good idea to me .. certainly a move in favor of free speech overall - rather than curtailment. This would need to be done in conjunction with shutting down the other parts of the media Oligopoly as well though .. other wise MSNBC would just be replaced with the same by the Oligopoly/ Donor Class.

 

Hssn't the left been doing that already deciding on their own what hate speech is and shutting it down?
Even Biden decided to form a committee to decide what speech is acceptable.

Those that support free speech tend to limit it to speech they approve of. We have never had nor will we ever have free speech. At best we have a range of free/ish speech. Want unobstructed free speech, go somewhere alone and speak to the void. As soon as you introduce another into the settings free speech becomes complicated.

I never made any predictions about what the future held.

You claimed to not have made a prediction and I showed you the language you used which speculated as to the future IE made a prediction.
You LITERALLY said the words "are going" and you're trying to say you didn't say anything about "what would happen going forward".

2) you're wrong when you say you made no prognostication.
3) you're definitely wrong when you say you didn't say how it was GOING to be when you used the WORD GOING in your prior post.

Why is it so difficult to say "my bad, I did predict."?

If it was the FIRST, that means you're predicting more than one thing. You OPINED about a plural amount of domino falls.
You also discuss what will happen GOING FORWARD.

Its okay to be wrong. Its okay to admit you were wrong. This is a safe place.
