It isn't political points, these operations should cease to function, period. Clearly it cannot be contained or controlled or even properly evaluated it looks like. Even if let's say it didn't come from the lab, the risk is very real that the next pathogen WILL in fact come from a lab.

Lol…you know better. They’re only attacking Fauci to pander to the orange dotard’s malignant narcissism and distract from his dereliction of duty.
We all saw how trump threw the whole country under the bus and abandoned all his duties as potus when he lost the election and spent the last two months of his tenure trying to overturn the election.
I’d be trying to blow smoke up people’s asses too if I had to defend that orange maggot.

I guess I hadn't bothered to read the articles, and not only trusted the OP but, because I was overly-tired, did not even read that, closely enough. Thanks for straightening out my info.

For anyone else who is confused, the research funded at Wuhan Institute of Virology, used genetically-modified mice, and a natural bat virus, not a modified Coronavirus.

If the NIH is pausing funding, then that means they were previously funding such research.

    Sucks to be you...........

NIH Lifts Funding Pause on Gain-of-Function Research

Today, the National Institutes of Health announced that it is lifting a funding pause dating back to October 2014 on gain-of-function (GOF) experiments involving influenza, SARS, and MERS viruses.

Oh, just so we're clear on the concept, STUPID-19 is a SARS variant.
