Sure, if you were first elected at 45, not if you started at 25...

But you claimed insider trading was already illegal for everybody which is emphatically wrong. There are two sets of laws for them and for you and me! Pointing to one politician who was a sacrificial lamb, and ignoring the rampant insider trading that is taking place today is just being blind to reality. Because congress can make laws that impact industry, NO ONE associated with politicians should be able to trade stocks. It's egregious insider information... Like with the Pelosi VISA IPO. They literally postponed legislation on credit card firms and the Pelosi's bankrolled from such an act! Again.. You and I would be in jail for such actions!

Insider trading is illegal for everybody... as was proven by Chris Collins and has been pointed out 3x already...

    Enforcement is another issue...

However... that is just not true. Chris Collins is a unique situation because he passed insider information onto his Fiances father which he liquidated his position in a failing IPO, and technically, was just another way to eliminate another Trump shill. If he were a Democrat, it would have been a $200 waived fine.

Him or his finance selling off stock with the information would have netted ZERO arrest nor fines. Congress has clearly stated that since they are not part of the corporate entity, SEC Rule 10b5 does not apply to them and gives them and immediate family liberties to insider trade. The VISA IPO trade is a prime example of "rules for thee and not for me".

Yes as long it is a single term limit. Supreme court justices, by the way, do not have a term in office. They have lifelong appointments for good reason.
