If only Barack Obama would be this firm with our adversaries in the world who would do us harm and do not want America to succeed!

Rand Paul says it was a friendly exchange and he and his dad were laughing about the media spin on it. Sorry, friend.....

I find it funny that Perry would prove Ron right. Ron says because of our forcefulness, the world hates us. Perry tries to physically force Ron to "stop the attacks" and I bet Ron doubles down.

Sad really that Ron can be right on about every occasion and people still think he is a kook.

In a country full of kooks, the one who is always right is considered the kook.

Good to know that Rand says that it was a friendly exchange. I'm sure that has a lot to do with the fact that Ron Paul is extremely nice and non-confrontational.

Doesn't change the fact that Perry's closet is spilling over with skeletons, flip-flops, corporate bribery, and illegals.

Even if it was for intimidation, Ron or Rand saying it was would not help Ron at all. I think keeping this out of the spot light and continuing spilling the beans on Perry might get him to explode.

It looks as tho Perry is angry, and Ron Paul has a look of indifference, almost a Who the Hell are you. Ron paul is the consummate statesmen, thats why the left hates him.

    Ha-Ha!

    Very good, Surfer Joe.

I take it you support Ron Paul.

Do you agree with him about our nation returing to the gold standard?

I am interesed in your views on this subject.

Here is the only example of "leadership" Barack Obama has given us since he has been president.

Barack Obama expresses to the world his administration's new U.S. foreign policy: “Speak softly, bow deeply, and apologize often.”

I don't know who hates him or why they hate him, but I am pretty sure there is a lot of dislike for him from both sides of the isle, and neither party takes him very seriously. Personally I think he makes some good points, he always has, and in the debate he is the only one I had any sort of respect for. Realistically, though, the only good thing I can imagine coming out of a Paul presidency is perhaps a greater willingness between the republican and democratic parties to work together, mostly against him.

Whilst I can appreciate some of Ron Paul's thoughts, he has served in congress for over 20 years with zero accomplishments in regards to advancing his agenda, so I am going to say that your argument is the antithesis to the indicative evidence.

I can not think of a single thing he has done that one could call an accomplishment. He has repealed nothing. He has proceeded to act in the very same way legislatively as pretty much everyone else in congress, including helping his district to a huge chunk of pork, which ironically he rails against.

    You are correct, 317_tree.

Most people consider Ron Paul to be an eccentric and a joke. He wants us to go back to the gold standard and he wants to eliminate the Federal Reserve, The Department of Education and FMEA!

This is one reason Rick Perry and the other candidates are so upset with him!

Barack Obama is no longer respected and admired by world leaders.

Rick Perry would quickly get our respect restored agian and will bring back our good jobs that Obama and George Bush have outsourced to China!

No, no he doesn't. He says the money is going to be spent whether he wants it to or not. So instead of giving that money to the president to decide where to spend it, he tries to get the money for his district. Now if he had his way, he would prefer that money not be there at all, but since it is there, the congress is the one that should decide where the money gets spent.

As far as "accomplishment" goes, his sticking to his principles for the past 30 years has lead to the largest "3rd party" (TEA party movement) in America. So I guess that could be considered an accomplishment.

You don't understand. Our adversaries are President Obama's friends and our friends are President Obama's adversaries.

Only because Obama and the Democrats overstepped some serious Constitutional Bounds and the libertarian movement rose as a result of that because it's so blatantly obvious that Obamacare is an overstep. Without Obamacare there wouldn't be a Tea Party, or at least the juggernaut that it is.

I just bet that had to do with Alex Jones.
Jones who brags he is The most listened to Radio guy in the country,
given his large Internet audience as opposed to Rush Limbaugh.
Jones has been on a personal crusade to smear Perry with everything
he got.Jones is also Ron Paul's biggest fan and he literally pushes Paul
on to his listening audience even pleading with them to jam sites
where votes are taken to determine popularity or what candidate
won the Iowa Straw Poll or Wendesday night s debate.
I bet Perry told Paul to knock off with the Smear campaign Buddy.
Or I'll personally ride yer ass to Judge Roy Beans farm.

How have you managed to bring Alex Jones into this discussion?

Rick Perry deserves to be smeared. Sorry but his newly found religion of conservatism is simply not supported by his actions throughout his history in politics.

What does Mr. Cessna know about the failures of unfettered fractional-reserve banking? Look around, Mr. Cessna, and witness the giant hole they dug. Take a look at our central bank bailing out banks from other nations! The kooks have been in charge for 40 years since they allowed the international bankers running the federal reserve to print money at will. They also kept interest rates low, influencing our false boom and the resulting bust.

I read my post again and think I should clarify because I might have sounded as though I really support him. However I am not, by any means, a Paul supporter. While I agree with some of his points and respect him, there are a lot of issues that I don't agree with him on and some of his proposals, I believe, would be detrimental to this country.

As for Perry, I don't find him even worth talking about.

How is he a hypocrite? He doesn't vote for the extra money. But since the money is there, he thinks the best people that should spend it are the congress people. These are two different issues.

FEMA was established in 1979. The first natural disaster they responded to was Hurricane Andrew in 1992. America would not exist without FEMA, it is true. They are also several billion dollars in the hole.

Is there anything that you think the federal government should not be involved with?

What? So for 13 years there was no natural disaster? Or there was no natural disaster before 1992? How did America ever exist for 200 years without FEMA?
