    Wow! You forgot already that I am not an american and I remember that there was a war between georgians and abkhazians at the time of USSR collapse. And the scars of war in Abkhazia are still seen. But they are disappearing. Perhaps in 20-30 years abkhazians will be ready to restore their relationship with georgians. But for now it is not the time.
    There was no war in Crimea. So it will only get better. Nothing was done in Abkhazia during the Georgia period. The buildings there are either of soviet origin or new, abkhazian period of the history. The same in Crimea. Ukraine hasn't given anything to crimeans. Even to crimean tatars who live in the shacks and whose kids sometimes don't go to school... In 21 century. But even if the whole world will put every sanctions possible there will be peace and wealth in Crimea.

    Isn't he the guy that drank some wine laced with some highly radioactive substance given to him at a meeting with a Russian representative or spy? I think he had been on the way out for a long time and it wouldn't surprise me if Putin was behind it.
