Those things have all been said on a variety of media outlets over a period of years. Any doubts they have not?

 

It epitomizes their disposition on politics. Petty threads on the irrelevant.

 

If his BBall skills are a media Myth.. then why is ABC news (more lame-stream media) running an article about him being 2 for 22? Shouldn't they be covering it up and Fox News doing the story breaking? Also, it is becoming apparent ODS is proving to be a serious mental disorder that should be studied and addressed medically.

I absolutely agree ABC releasing this story is a real anomaly. Perhaps, as is usually the case, they will post the petty insults so when it comes to the really big stuff, like a cover up in Benghazi, they can pretend they have been even handed (when nothing could be further from the truth).

 

I won't be sucked into a replay of the last election and the reasons why and wherefore. Let's just leave it at the media's long time love affair with a black president and the mythology that's grown all around him.

in my opinion Obama did a nice thing for once and had a little fun with kids, showing that he is human after all. Now if Obama talked crap to John Wall and such and they went 1 on 1 in a game of 21 and got his ass totally smothered then i could see the funny about a thread lol, but not when its just a simple shoot around with kids where not even pro athletes go all out.

i dunno, i just dont see the merit of bashing obama shooting hoops with a bunch of kids.

The act of shooting a basketball is not like playing football and the exhibition of a basketball related skill is not competing with anyone but yourself. You obviously never played much, if any, basketball. Who shoots at a basket NOT to put it throught the hoop? No one!

When anyone with a modicum of basketball talent shoots a basketballl they expect to make a basket. This has nothing to do with "going all out". The effort is minimal, as a matter of fact, but the results are all expected to be successful...especially from a public figure with such a notable ego and inflated sense of self worth and superiority.

I'm bashing the media.

It was such a remarkably horrible performance by a guy that told Bill O'Reilly (no Larry Bird, I'm guessing) that he would spot him 11 points in a game to twelve and beat him, that it hardly could be
overlooked, as nothing done by the president is...especially a president that fancies himself such a wonderful basketball player that he stocked his personal staff with ex-college hoopsters (so as to better suit his own level of proficiency).

The emporer has no clothes, and no basketball talent especially, or so it would seem.

However I'm sure the mods will take note that you have not once argued the point put forth by my OP (that the media has created this myth of Obama, the basketball savant from the mean streets of Honolulu, along with all the other media created fictions of Barry's life) in favor of hectoring me and wonder why YOU are reporting Me when it should be the other way around. You don't have to look hard to find it and like most of the rest we "know" about Obama (the brilliant scholar, the compassionate community organizer, the gifted annointed Lightworker) it's all part of the same media hype machine.

The real president, meanwhile, that parties while the nation sinks in the sewer, that assumes the power to murder on his say so by drone, that isn't all that interested in creating jobs...just a bigger war chest to fight partisan wars and attend more and more fund raisers, etc.) and that, incidentally, isn't really all that great a basketball player, exists out there too but the media isn't quite as eager to know about that president Obama.
