Corporate special interests are outnumbered 20 to 1 by social progress groups seeking money for various local pet projects.

The problem isn't just the politicians, it's the American People as a whole who really do see the US Government as an unlimited font of money that can keep printing them rich.

The people with thier hands on the power in the end, are the million and one faceless community organizers like Obama out there sucking the nation dry.

What bull(*)(*)(*)(*). America is a corporatist country. We have those social programs in place in part because these corporations want us to spend money on their products. Why else would WalMart of all places call for increasing the minimum wage.

Social progress groups, whatever you want to call them, they're all special interest in my dictionary - they all claim to want to help only they ned government funding to do it, weather it's haliburton in Iraq or feed the whales in Africa.

The sign on the little girl should read...

"Thank you Government for giving me $38,375! I was able to buy my doll house with that money"

The Government is not in "debt" with your money, you are in debt to the Government.

    Think about it.

    Saddam Hussein, you must leave.
    Muammar Gaddafi, you must leave.
    Bashar al-Assad, you must leave.
    Who's next??

Are we seeing a pattern yet??

These people aren't thugs, but every one of them have oil beneath their feet, and every one of them have been made out to look like "thugs" by our govt-controlled media, to justify our greedy intentions. The US Govt only fvcks with people who have something they want. It doesn't matter if it's a democrat or republican in office; I think they're in this game together, pretending to be at each other's throats, suckering people to the polls every 4 yrs. I will never vote again.

    you are very correct, SiliconMagician.

Especially when you say, "It's the American People as a whole who really do see the U.S. Government as an unlimited font of money that can keep printing them rich."

Here is a perfect example of the "Midas" mindset that is prevalent among most of Obama's ardent supporters!

Note: Midas or "King Midas" (in Greek Μίδας; IPA:ˈmɪdɒs) is popularly remembered in Greek mythology for his ability to turn everything he touched into gold. This was called the Golden touch, or the Midas touch.[1] He bears some relation to the historical Mita, king of the Mushki in Western Anatolia in the later 8th century BC.

Only when you compare Iraqi standards to US standards, which shouldn't even be compared, since we're two completely different countries, run by completely different sets of rules and morals. On the other hand, the US media, controlled by the US govt, decides what we're allowed to see in the news, making sheep out of us. Don't you ever wonder why we're not focusing more on Mexico, where real thugs run wild, rather than oil-rich countries? Everything is about money.

Big Govt., Big Business and Big Labor are fused into one organism over which special interests jockey to feed. It can't be reformed.

The people of america will have to make them quit. Just like the people of syria are trying to make assad quit. Through mass protests and personal sacrifice if your country grinds to a halt then what option will the gov have but to give into the demands. It's better to halt and take a hit then to die a prolonged death.
