Obama Pushes Obamacare Over Thanksgiving Dinner

Yeah and it will only cost you an arm and a leg, and that ain't a turkey arm and leg.

Judy: I was trying to go online at the Healthcare.gov website and it somehow kicked me to a great flower arrangement website. Sure do love that Obamacare!

LOL ... Clearly we are of the same mindset as to proper Thanksgiving Day table discussion ! But I do believe that all liberal relatives should be given a doggie-bag at best, and told to (*)(*)(*)(*) (get the fornication out) of the building !!

 

Oh I am pretty sure there is a 17 yr old niece somewhere for whom that would not be an appropriate gesture... which is why either none of your thanksgivings were littered with politics, or they were epic and alcohol was probably involved. That is the gig with family... you can't pick em. You could, alternatively, humorously educate them... and not shun them... because they are dumb. They are dumb right? Should be easy to manipulate... right?

Hey remember when you said that Obamacare was going to work great, and then, when people asked you how it actually worked, you sort of implied they were stupid for not knowing, and yet you never provided any evidence that you had any idea of how it was supposed to work yourself? Yeah, you were wrong to do that.

2. Remember when you called me crazy for saying Obama wanted to "spread the wealth around," based on not a scrap of evidence except for Obama himself saying he wanted to spread the wealth around? Yeah, there's a NYT article that says that Obamacare is fundamentally a redistributive program -- which means it "spreads the wealth around." Yeah you were wrong on that, too.

3. Remember when you said that it was only "REPUBLICAN LIES!!111!!" that Obama's "if you like your plan, you can keep your plan" promise was itself a lie? I hate to keep coming back to this point, but you were way wrong on that one too.

4. Remember the "if you like your doctor" pledge? Yeah I feel like a broken record here, but you were wrong.

5. Remember when you gleefully, giddily declared the end of the Republican Party and a new era of Proud Progressive dominance? Yeah, the current political Big Story is whether or not Obamacare will wind up discrediting progressivism for just an election cycle or two, or as much as a generation. It looks like you were wrong about that.

6. Remember when you were so confident, arrogant, snotty, sneering, and dismissive about legitimate and informed concerns about Obamacare? You were wrong. And you weren't just wrong on the facts, but you were wrong on a human level. You very nearly screamed your ignorant opinions and shouted down dissent. You sneered at people as ignorant who actually knew more than you did, and you indulged in entirely-unwarranted moral preening about your alleged concern for the poor. Despite the fact that you never do anything to actually aid the poor. Apparently shouting at relatives is your idea of "charity."

Yeah you were wrong. You are wrong.

I know you won't apologize, but at least keep your stupid mouth shut this year and let us all digest in peace.

Fellow PF Posters: As we get ready for another thanksgiving, never forget to give thanks to the author of your meal, the one who has made it possible for you to enjoy another day with family and friends. Yes, of course I am referring to Our Obama. Praise him for allowing you the very turkey that you eat, the house you eat it in, the very air that you breathe. Give thanks that he and he alone has provided the healthcare that he knows you need - that indeed, without Obama you would be mere dust, and unable to pay the taxes he so generously allows you to give. Sing praises to him as you eat, by order of your government. When you think of your turkey, think of Obama.

And if you're one of those people who live in your car thanks to Our Glorious President's economic policies, remember to give thanks to Your Leader as you eat your turkey sandwich that Obama has allowed you that very car to sleep in.

 

Thank's for the timely encouragement Stuart. I must admit that I've been a wee bit apostate lately. You might say I've been a bit of a skeptic. But now I am thankful - thankful for many things. I'm naturally thankful that I have the opportunity to shell out $1000 more per year for healthcare insurance. I am thankful to be forced into things that I wouldn't ordinarily choose. How else can I ever do what is holy and just (or fair)? I'm also thankful that we can now trust Iran, thanks to His omnipotence and his holy right hand Kerry, to do the right think with their nuclear program. It is the Dear One and He alone that can bring peace and fairness and wealth distribution to our world. Even the Nobel Prize committee recognized His sovereign goodness, truthfulness, and peacefulness. Though a few other apostate nations like Israel (and Libya) still remain in their hopelessly skeptical state. He is the Truth and there is no falsehood in Him! Praise be!

 

Why are you so worried that people might all of a sudden have healthcare coverage? Do you actually think you're saving them?
