He broke another country's law and you're all whining that he should be freed because you are America. As if Americans should be treated differently. Fits the definition of entitlement.

Maybe but Im sure he thinks whitey shoulda known better, he had a perfect dreamy like up bringing, and had everything handed to him in his life because of the color of his skin.

A black marine would need his help cause hes struggling to escape the hood, and make it in this world.

You have to understand how leftys think, to get an accurate assessment.

I'm going to really go out on a limb here and hazard a guess that you brothers have some serious racial anger issues. You should let Jesus into your heart. Pacem in terris, Nat

He crossed the border with not just guns but loaded guns being transported in a manner that is not allowed in USA, and guns which are only permitted to be possessed by Mexican military personnel. It seems he has also attempted escape and suicide.

Being provocative towards Mexico will just stiffen their resolve to enforce due process of the law.

It is evident the guy has PTSD and needs help. The VA should get to his case in about 12 months.

    http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2014/May/03/tijuana-marine-andrew-tahmooressi-mexico-weapons/

"...The charges include possession of two firearms meant for exclusive use of the Mexican military; bail is not permitted. If convicted, he faces six to 21 years in a Mexican prison, said his Tijuana attorneys.

On Saturday, he remained under guard at the prison infirmary after attempting an escape and later cutting his throat with a piece of broken light bulb..."

    http://www.latimes.com/local/abcarian/la-me-ra-marine-jailed-in-mexico-20140605-column.html

"... According to Vice News, Tahmooressi entered Mexico with a 5.56mm rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun and a .45-caliber pistol, as well as more than 400 rounds of ammunition. The chief Mexican customs officer at the San Ysidro crossing told Vice that the guns, all loaded, were "just wrapped up in his belongings" rather than locked away and unloaded as required by California law. Vice also reported that "the rifle was found behind the driver’s seat, the shotgun on the passenger seat, and the pistol was in the driver-side door pocket, along with several cartridges."

Writers such as Abcarian are the reason the LA Times is now pamphlet-sized and of little importance, rather than a robust newspaper of record.

It's pretty hard to accidentally end up in Mexico. Especially with guns. There are big signs on the U.S. side telling travelers that guns are illegal in Mexico. There’s plenty of warning that the border is approaching. Is it plausible that Tahmooressi crossed by accident in the dark? Maybe. I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, even though he admitted that he lied to Mexican officials about how many times he'd crossed the border..."

Well at least Bill O'Reilly did something. He advised everyone to boycott Mexico till this man is released. Hopefully the word will get out. I put it on facebook, hope others will to.

I think that may be the first time ever the words "due process", "Mexico" and "law" have been used in the same sentence.

Its quite clear you've never been to the southern border. The entire area he is in has backroads with zero fences thanks to Obama cutting the funding. At night there are no street lights, he was new to the area so of course it is very easy to cross over if you got lost.

And its clear you didn't read the article either.

Just days ago, four Mexican police mistakenly entered the United States - yes, a mistake, just like Sergeant Tahmooressi mistakenly entered Mexico. And the four Mexican police were arrested by the United States. Just like Sergeant Tahmooressi, arrested, but by Mexico and like Sergeant Tahmooressi, the Mexicans mistakenly came into our country with their weapons. Legal in their home country, just like Sergeant Tahmooressi has weapons legal in the United States. But what happened next is the big difference. And what really stinks.

Considering this border is wide open and we have been very courteous when they have come over to US soil armed and we have released them in 2 days why are you excusing the fact they have not shown our Marine the same curtsey?

And why are you excusing the inaction of Obama?

Then you shouldn't be surprised the next time Federales cross into America are arrested and put into our jails for bringing their guns into the U.S.

If your contentions are true then why would Mexicans and other South Americans take dangerous treks through desert to migrate. Why not just drive over the border? Special freeways could be constructed to help them.

Well here's a thought. Most don't have cars.

And since Obama has been selling amnesty they are advertizing it in the local countries.

He let four people die for votes and wipes his ass with the constitution on a daily basis and probably smiles while he does it. So Im gonna go out on a limb and say this marine isn't even on his radar as Marines represent everything he despises. If anyone reading this wants him released Id vote for a President who cares next time.

Mexico depends a lot on tourism. Yes, if a lot of people quit going to Mexico because of this soldier, I think it would make a difference. Sure as hell can't hurt.

Do I? Interesting conclusion. I think that you are assigning me a position and then arguing against it.
