Jepp, I have a savings-account, but it wouldn't be big enough to sustain my family for long if I suddenly lost my income.
So I probably should start taking contraception again. And from now on I will tell off anybody who got kids with an even smaller savings account than mine for this irresponsible behaviour!

If everybody made the same decision future generations will considerably thin out and there won't be enough young people to wipe our behinds once we're old, fragile and incontinent, but what the hell: wanting somebody to look after you in old-age is just another one of these selfish silly communist me me me needs!

 

How about having a plan in place in case things,as they historically,cyclicly and inevitably always do, go bad?

One does not have to be a genius to determine what might happen if they good times turn bad and how a child might work into that equation.

Its called being a responsible adult.

Try it sometime,you might be surprised.

 

There will always be plenty of offspring to wipe ur ass because there always will be folks with no business having kids, having kids.

 

We should feel thankful then, shouldn't we, that people have kids, because otherwise we would have severe problems once we're in need of care.

Which is probably why most governments with a negative population growth try to encourage people to get more children. The intergenerational contract would most definitely fail if only the rich procreated.

 

Why be dishonest.

You know that theres a rather large % of folks who have kids that: A.didnt actually want them B.cannot muster the minimum necessities to properly care for them and/or C. lose custody of kids once born because they are not even equipped to take care of themselves. This isnt a marginal group of people...this is alot of people taxing the system with their irresponsibilty.

Im sure there are lots of folks whove run it tough times who did everything right and for them I sympathize.Many others I suspect just shouldve waited to have kids.

When the OWS people turn violent, and they can preach, revolt, revolution, and anarchy only so long before they WILL turn violent, their European brothers already have become violent. They may be surprised that there are over 131 million people in the USA that have jobs and wish to keep their jobs. And a very high percentage of those 131 million people with jobs are well armed. This is not 1917 Russia.

 

I'm afraid you're being dishonest if you're trying to depict the majority of the 1 in 4 children who rely on foodstamps in the US as the offspring of some stereotypical meth-addict trailer-trash. If that was true the US has gone downhill beyond my wildest imagination.

How is suggesting someone is coming for a conservative position vilifying them? And I apologize if your either not a conservative, or a villain, if you got the impression that I thought you were I did not type my thought clearly enough, sorry.

 

Two things, one if someone waited to the perfect time to have children, no one would ever have children. Two no matter how much you prepare things can still go badly and leave you in need.

 

If you accept that, why are you complaining about it?

 

Because I accept the fact folks have kids when they clearly shouldnt be means I should embrace it? You cant see the rather glaring consequences of such behavior?

 

I suppose but constant worry of the worst consequences would lead one to never even get out of bed.

 

Theres no such thing as a perfect time. Youre either prepared or you're not. We had kids when we wanted, when it was appropriate. People who keep waiting and waiting to have kids really shouldn't be having them. I find it hilarious that when my kids graduate college, most of the parents will be in wheel chairs and look like grandparents. It's Sort of pathetic and funny
