-3 black college kids were arrested for stealing stuff from a bakery.
-College students declare the bakery racist and deliberately set out to destroy the bakers.
-Bakers sue the college and strike oil.

I say it's about time people paid a penalty for calling everyone and everything racist. But it's too bad the students who organized and initiated the campaign of intolerance and hate against the bakers aren't being punished because they're the ones who are ultimately guilty and should feel the financial pain of justice.

I hope that Covington student Nick Sandmann wins his lawsuits against CNN, MSNBC and the NYTimes for their smears of him too. It's about time that these people learn that they can't do whatever they want simply because they disagree with someone.

Don’t these people understand the more false flags they raise the worse everything is going to get?

Yup, this case is a good precedent for Nick's lawsuit.

I'm hoping the left will finally wake up and realize that being a certain color doesn't always make you right while being another color doesn't always make you wrong.

The jury award which might get tripled could ring a death knell for the city of Oberlin Ohio,an area of less than 5 square miles with a population of approximately 8,300 people.Oberlin College one of the nations oldest has approximately 2,800 students with a current tuition of about $60,000 per year.It is one of if not the largest employers in the town bringing in more money than any other city business,it has to be one of the city's largest sources of income for local business including the bakery.Should this lawsuit be upheld forcing the college to further hike tuition it could spell curtains for both Oberlin College and for the city which it currently helps keep afloat.

Wow, only $33 million, the bakery needs to hire the smirking kids lawyers — they are up to a couple billion by now.

That aside, good — schools and the media to stop backing these thugs over hardworking business owners. I hope it doesn’t get overturned on appeal.

And it was just revealed today that Oberlin College’s umbrella policy will not even cover the $11 million judgment, much less the doubling/tripling of that in punitive damages.........God I love when liberal leftists meet reality........

Interesting points you make. But I’m guessing a small college town leans to the left and dropped their support for the bakers when they were accused of being racists. What do you think? So this put the bakers is a tough situation.

Also, if tuition is $60k a year, then the kids and their apparently wealthy families can chip in and assist with paying the damages they themselves caused the college to pay. What do you think?

We still do, but we’re playing by the rules the left doesn’t want to change. Feel like changing them now?

so students protest and the school they go to get sued?

that seems odd unless the school employees organized it

but this is what I said about sports, when schools start getting sued and losing, they will either change or get rid of the sport

The students who organized this should also take a financial hit, but they don’t have deep pockets yet.

the school should only be hit if the school promoted it, the school is not responsible for the actions of the students

by this logic places that train on guns are responsible for students crimes as well

while I agree with the store, that was wrong if the people shoplifted them, then to get protested over it (I think the protestors were racist if they protested a business reporting shopfitters based on the race of the shoplifters), but I also disagree with suing the school for the students actions if the school was not involved

can the bakery be sued if their customers commit a crime, someone buys some donuts, then attacks a cop with them or something

or a gun show owner if their customer shoots some one

    this is slippery slope

    From the link:

Yeah, if it were only your typical SJW blithering idiots doing so I'd agree with you, just sue the kids. But the jury found that the college was involved - so screw 'em.

I bet the schools gets rid of the student groups, if they become responsible for what these groups do off site

When the students started their ‘everything is racist’ thing, the college initially cancelled their contract with the bakery. That cancellation affirms the student’s claim of everything is racist.
