For MANY people who define themselves as ATHEISTS...it IS A BELIEF SYSTEM...even though some atheists want to pretend otherwise.

I am not interested in attempting to deal with denial of that depth.

Only reason I can't is that I don't know that whatever you're calling a pocket is too small to accomodate whatever you're calling an elephant. OTOH, I could certainly prove my pocket is utterly devoid of elephants if I had to.

there are gnostic atheists who believe there is no god.
there are agnostic atheists who do not believe that god exists, but recognize that is only in the absence of any emperical evidence to the contrary.
there are gnostic theists who not only believe there is a god, but believe in a particular dogma related to that god(s).
there are agnostic theists who believe that a god exists, but reject that associated religious dogma.

I find that attempting to prove there is no god is as nonsensical as attempting to prove there is no tooth fairy.
I find that attempting to prove that your god exists requires unprovable primitive interpretations and attributions of causation of natural and human events.

Therefore, its a unwinnable argument.

Can't argue with stupid, crazy or those of blind faith.

I don't intend to do that...especially for a guy suggesting in any way that there are no atheists who assert there are no gods...or that it is more likely that there are no gods than that there is at least one.

Read the topic "atheism" or "atheist" in Wiki if you have to...but if "you have to"...you are in severe denial.

It just shows intellectual incapability of atheists to stand up for their beliefs. Unfortunately I was brought up and indoctrinated as an atheist among atheists, fortunately I always was taught to have reasons for any thought I expressed and certainly I knew how to prove that there was no god from the scientific POV.... until I mastered physical science.
