Oregon teacher tells colleagues they'll be fired if they don't 'come to the light' and become 'anti-

If you're not evolving into an anti-racist educator, you're making yourself obsolete. ... Our district is only getting browner and browner [with respect to students]. ... Obviously, you can't change your melanin, all right? But you can change your mind so that you can actually function in a district that is full of BIPOC [black, indigenous, and people of color] children. So if you're being resistant, I understand that. But you're gonna have to eventually come to the light. Because if you're going to keep with those old views of colonialism, it's gonna lead to being fired. Because you're going to be doing damage to our children — trauma. And so as we fire the teachers who sexually abuse our children, we will be firing the teachers who do racist things to our children and traumatize them. And while our district might not be completely on there, [the Oregon Education Association] is working on it, all right? [The National Education Association] is working on it. And so it's just a matter of time; so it's like you either evolve or dissolve.

This news report of what the Oregon education leader said to other teachers is quite chilling. Such a total woke attitude and one that says her way or the highway. I’m glad that students, teachers, and parents are beginning to fight back against this ideology.

 

It’s great to see teacher, student, parent, and commentary in opposition to this political propaganda passing as education.? From 1619 project to CRT, to transgender ideology, the propaganda regime of the woke left is being resisted.

Imagine if a white person said this to a black teacher, "our school is getting whiter and whiter and we know you can't change your melanin... but you can change your mindset so you can function in our district with our white children"

and if she is right and the school is become mostly black students, then the white children are the minority

we just need to push equality, regardless of race

I fail to see a problem. This sounds like people who noticed an ethnic thing in math books. Them questions can go like: Jake travels by car going 40 miles an hour to meat Scott who travels 10 miles towards Jake bla bla bla. Wouldn't it be weird if them names were Musampa and Mbele? You got to wonder if such names like Jake and Scott are appropriate in a school were white people are in a minority and only they identify with those names and nobody else. That's not a push for equality.

 

Yes actual racist teachers who express it to students and or other teachers should be let go including the one the article here is about.

You mean like the outliers of bad cops shooting unjustifiably? The whole reason for BLM protesting across the country and a subset group of them rioting all of last year? Over 10's of millions of police interactions per year, 2 dead unjustifiably in 2019. In total around 1,000 people killed by police in 2019. Again, I'll point out that there are 10's million of police interactions per year.

 

Nothing mysterious here homie you should know by now I have no problem expressing who I mean. I mean black people or should I say a large percentage of them. Along with the hyper liberal democrat whites who have been brainwashed into believing whites deserve a disadvantage and blacks deserve an advantage.

 

That would be 62.5 million in 2019 police interactions with the public.

The biggest difference is the police covering for the bad cops and I am not sure that is happening with this teacher

To me this is the bigger issue. We all know there will be bad cops, there are bad people in every profession. But the police do themselves a disservice when they cover up for them.

How many of those tens of MILLIONS of police interactions were MOTIVATED by RACIAL PROFILING?

The ARREST and CONVICTIONS data establishes that RACIAL PROFILING by cops is a significant PROBLEM.

Trying to DISINGENUOUSLY pretend that it ONLY matters if someone actually DIES from a RACIST police interaction establishes a failure to grasp the FULL EXTENT of the problem.

It’s not racial profiling when the police have been given the description of a suspect and more than 50% of the time it’s a black male.
