    Are we congratulating "him" on his death ? A pity for Russians that he did not die much earlier !!!!
    He certainly was one of the most appalling figures in modern Russian politics , and after Stalin did more single handed to ensure the rapid downward move in Russia's economic strength and its future global role .
    The irony is that he was not even Russian . He was an Ukrainian , born in Ukraine with two Ukrainian parents .
    If Russians were smart -- I appreciate that is asking the impossible --- they would publicly distance themselves from his dark and shabby reign in power .
