As you probably know, I lived in Rhodesia in the late 1970s and I traveled fairly extensively in South Africa, during that (the apartheid) era. The Africans noted that the white man came to Africa with a bible in one hand and a gun in the other. It looks to me that the Zionists went to Palestine with a gun in each hand.

I didn't know that. Looks like you have first hand experience of this kind of thing then. Good to have someone here who has lived it.

I was a child during the apartheid era (UK) half my family were all big ANC supporters, the other half on the German side in the world war.

Yes, the white Jewish Europeans were flooded into Palestine by the British, hundreds of thousands of them, followed by shipments of weapons.

The WJE and British started the war with the Palestinians, yes, by invading their land.

Tens of thousands of Jews came to Palestine long before the British. Decades before. Jews have been moving in and out of Palestine for thousands of years. Back and forth to Europe and the Middle East. There has never been a time when there were not tens of thousands of Jews in Palestine. The majority of people in Jerusalem were Jewish starting in the 1880s. The Jews helped Muslims defend Jerusalem and Palestine against the Crusaders. It is simply fiction to believe that Palestine was empty of all Jews. Meanwhile there were hundreds of thousands of Jews in neighboring Egypt, Morocco, Syria and Iraq. Pretty much all of those Jews moved to Israel after 1948.

I couldn't stomach it. South African Apartheid was not just a silly law but outrageously demeaning to the Africans. I saw things happen there that I have difficulty describing. By the late 1970s Apartheid was no longer the law in Rhodesia but it was largely practiced albeit to a lesser extent. I wanted to know more about it but it was a sensitive subject for both whites and blacks and the CID had ears everywhere so people were tight-lipped about it.

I imagine there were some interesting discussion on SĂĽdwestafrika.

900,000 Jews moved from the Middle East and North Africa to Israel after 1948. This is a fact.

Those "facts" do not support your claim that "Pretty much all of those Jews moved to Israel after 1948". I have been to all of North Africa from Morocco and beyond to Syria, (except for Irak and Jordan). Go to any city in those countries and ask about Jews and they will take you to a Jewish gold, silver & gem-maker.

That does not change the fact that more than 800,000 Jews moved to Israel from North Africa and the Middle East after 1948.

All of the immigration records are there if you want to see.

Anecdotal hearsay does not change immigration records.

Following the First Arab–Israeli War, over 850,000 Mizrahi and Sephardi Jews were expelled or evacuated from Arab and Muslim-majority countries from 1948 until the early 1980s. As of 2005, 61 percent of Israeli Jews were of full or partial Mizrahi/Sephardi ancestry.

I don't doubt that Palestine has seen many African and Spanish Jews come and go over the years. The WJE is the group iwas referring to who have never set foot in Israel before 1940.

Yes, you posted anecdotal hearsay. We are supposed to take your personal experience and make believes it totally discounts Israeli immigration statistics.

    Why would we do that?

    Wrong again.

Jews from Europe have been moving to Palestine in large numbers since the 1880s.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Aliyah
    35,000 1882-1903

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Aliyah
    40,000 1904-1914

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_Aliyah
    40,000 1919-1923

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourth_Aliyah
    82,000 1923-1929

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fifth_Aliyah
    300,000 1930-1939

total of 497,000 Jewish immigrants to Palestine between 1882 and 1939.

No, I posted personal experience. What I wrote is fact.
Such an utterly absurd conclusion. Where do you get these crazy ideas from?
    Why would you do what?

Your so-called personally experienced "facts" in no way dispute official immigration statistics.

Israeli immigration records show it is true. There are very few Jews left in the Arab world, most of them moved to Israel after 1948.
