"Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo told CNN Tuesday she intends to sue Fox News in the wake of the channel's coverage of supposed "no-go zones" for non-Muslims." :roflol:

Well, finally somebody is holding Fox News accountable for their actions :clapping: There was even a French Tv show making fun of fox news it was hilarious,

both England and France are laughing at Fox News and the Americans who take them seriously. BBC did an interview with the main guy on Fox who brought these "no go zones" up and it was priceless,

Im just glad Fox News is finally getting the heat it deserves

Its not frivolous, making up such extreme lies about specific regions on a "news" station is not a meager thing.

I wonder what their theory of damages is going to be? They probably haven't thought about that part yet.

    - - - Updated - - -

Their odds of having high enough damages necessary to pay the international tort law fees really is 0%.

In any case, whether that suit goes true, whether the Paris Mayor wins or lose. . .it doesn't matter too much!

It CLEARLY makes FOX NEWS (and those who believe that "Fox News is FAIR and BALANCED") the laughing stock of the civilized world. . .not just in the US, but in every corner of the world!

    Good news all around!

If you could win lawsuits with Fox News over their lies that easily, they'd be reaching settlements every 15 minutes.

FOX News is a broadcast version of the National Enquirer, their writers invent stories that intrigue the gullible. Lawsuits are expected, in fact, they are hoped for to gain additional publicity for "news" items that are complete BS.

Look at how easily FOX News' tall tales fool its loyal audience.

As it turns out, Muslims have segregated themselves in various neighborhoods in several cities in several countries in Europe. They are in fact establishing Sharia Law for their people in those areas. It may be inaccurate to call these areas "no go zones", but this problem does exist and is getting more serious and will not get better by ignoring it or arguing over the words used by the media to describe them.

Oh. . .you mean like the segregation we have right here in America, often with new immigrants?
What do you think of China town (in so many large cities)?
And we obviously do not know anything about the "Black neighborhood" or the "White trash trailer parks!"

Even Venice has a "Jewish Ghetto" still thriving!

Isn't it in NY that female castration is still practice with little or no punishment?

I guess you have never been to England with their "indian neighborhoods?

Self (or socially driven) segregation by culture is a world wide phenomena. . . very normal, and more likely to continue beyond second or even third generation immigrant depending on how well or how badly the new immigrants are perceived by the established population, and how successful new immigrants are in reaching beyond poverty and towards education.

In what jurisdiction would they sue and and what court sanction them? Here, not a chance. In a court in France? No jurisdiction over Fox News, Fox can raise their middle finger to them it they want.

It is of little importance. The goal here I think, is not to get money from FOX but to put it in the spotlight of ridicule, for all to see. That will hurt them more than writing a check (I was gonna write "hurt their credibility" but then I realize you can't lose what you do not have).

FOX's cheap, sensationalistic blunders are no more an exclusively domestic affair - it is now a proud banner of mediatic stupidity and bias for the rest of the universe to see.

Maybe it will even be the start of a renewed fairness doctrine in the US... But I won't hold my breath. Millions Yanks would likely be ready to take up arms and die for their sacred right to remain stupid and ill-informed, no doubts about it. You don't mess with "freedom" with these types.
