Funny, my only response to the thread was, thanks for your biased opinion. So how is that a biased opinion.
Now relax, take a deep breath, don't want you bearing any more false witness now. You hear. LOL. Else we be spending all of eternity together. LOL.

Many have shown it to you, yet you still deny it. What is a forum to do. Oh well. Maybe someday you'll see the light and get the truth.
Relax and take a deep breath now. Don't need you throwing any tantrums. LOL.

Matthew is simply using a metaphor with which the Jews were familiar, Deut 30:19 and Jeremiah 21:8 where God sets a choice before the Jews. Joshua also does the same Joshua 24. Not surprising as Matthew is at pains to convince the Jews that Jesus is their Messiah. That's why he so often uses the OT.
Christianity has taken it for its own purposes.

Not everyone does His will that is why God had to intervene several times to protect the good people who does His will from being wipe out by evil people and to stop wicked and evil from triumphing because those wicked people do not do God's will.

We can still change the end game either you go to Hell or Heaven that is your choice God has allowed us to chose our own destination the only end game for God is not to allow Lucifer to cease control of Heaven or destroy this earth and universe.

God has given us free will that is how omniscient (all knowing) God is. He allows us to freely chose between good and evil, to manage this universe.
Genesis 5
21 The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: “Never again will I curse the ground because of humans, even though every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done.

22 “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”

God know that in the end men will chose the right thing and do the responsible thing.

Genesis 2 and 3 Sin brings death.
All have sinned.
Enoch walked with God and was not.
God cannot stand sin in His presence.
So what happened to Enoch if all have sinned.
Or was he favoured above others, like Elijah.

If that's true then why did God flap his jaws about killing everything in towns that don't believe in him? http://www.bricktestament.com/the_law/religious_tolerance/dt13_13-15.html

Everyone does exactly has he already knows. Omniscient. Ergo, we are doing his will.
If god is omnipontent, the loving, caring God doesn't have to wipe out people to protect the good. Even at that, no one is good enough, else one wiping out would be all that is needed.

How is it our choice? God knows each individuals end game before they are born. Omniscient. So we can change what God already knows? Then God isn't omniscient.
Lucifer will gain way more souls than God.
God is the one who will destroy the earth in end times. At least according to revelation.
And if God is omnipotent, it is impossible for Lucifer to gain more souls and destroy the earth. Unless God allows it.

God is all knowing. So how do we change from what he already knows? For everything, I repeat, everything, is already known. And impossible to change.

But in the end, more will choose lucifer than God.

Those words I quoted from Matthew 7:13-14 came from Jesus, the Savior Himself...it is not Matthew using a metaphor, it is Matthew who wrote down what our Lord Savior Jesus Christ was quoted as saying.

Wrong....Scripture doesn't say Eve tricked Adam, actually the one who gets tricked or deceived is Eve by the serpent (devil). Adam was just being disobedient to God when he ate the fruit after Eve. But of course Eve was also guilty of being disobedient to God besides being deceived by the serpent (devil).

Then he said to the woman, "I will sharpen the pain of your pregnancy, and in pain you will give birth. And you will desire to control your husband, but he will rule over you."---Gen. 3:16 NLT

And we see this to be true, generally speaking, in that the man is the head of the household but of course there are in some households where the women are wearing the pants and the men are wearing the skirts...lol

Ah, spoken like a true misogynist. But as a christian, it is required. But to laugh out loud about it is disturbing.

And by rule, that puts women subservient. 2nd class.

Which then leads to Paul saying, women must be silent in church and in the home.

Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet.

So people who are not religious, who look upon women as being inferior to men, what are their reasons?

Could it be in some respects it is true? For example, women are not physically as strong as men...have you ever pondered why that is so? Why are men the stronger sex physically?

By as far as intellect, women are intellectually as sound as men IMHO. But there will be people who don't necessarily think so, it could be because of their experiences the reason they hold that particular opinion but still that doesn't make them right for they haven't encountered all women.

Look the point I'm making is that regardless if one is religious or not people will always view other people with some kind of opinion towards them.

There are white people who feel superior to other races. Hitler's nazi regime believed they were the most superior race on earth and everyone else to them were inferior.

But getting back to your belief that women are thought inferior by Catholics because of a fairytale is really not a valid statement.

First of all you haven't proven anything, maybe just to yourself but not to anyone else.

You don't know what is in the mind and hearts of all Catholics. You haven't proven that the Bible is a fairytale. You are basing everything on by just one statement that dairyair made?...lol

Nonsense...I say!

Maybe it's because women who are Catholics don't share the same feelings/sentiments as you do... that's how a woman does it.

Bringing up bad sinful behavior doesn't diminish/discredit the religion. Let me once again point out that we are all sinners and that the destructive power of sin can even infiltrate the church.

The current church leaders are working very hard to rid of this evil from within. And yes they were indeed wrong in the past to hide such awful sinful criminal conduct.

I'm not making excuses for them but they were very ashamed to admit it in the past, that is something understandable but still by no means is it acceptable.

Human beings by nature are not perfect beings, we are indeed flawed. We can only hope that we will learn from our mistakes.

Only God can be referred to as being "The Perfect Being"!

No, see you didn't do your research. You read a post from your buddy dairyair and right off you believed everything he said. FYI, Eve didn't trick Adam, it was Eve who was the one who got tricked/deceived by the serpent (devil). Adam just simply disobeyed God and of course so did Eve. And so no, it doesn't prove Adam was an idiot, it just showed him being disobedient to God.

So since nothing was proven to be true that Eve was smarter or that Adam was an idiot then do you now believe that Jesus picking twelve men was the right thing to do?

But hey you told us as a child you were a Catholic...did you forget what you learned there? Weren't you taught that Eve was the one that got tricked/deceived?

Sorry but there is no where in Scripture where it says having a penis gives you wisdom. Having wisdom is not confined only to the male species, for it is also seen in the female species as well in the human race.

Wrong....In a Christian household, the husband does not view his wife as being 2nd class.

In the New Testament, Paul gives advice to husbands and wives about marriage. Wives are to submit to their husbands (Ephesians 5:22–24). This command is what draws a lot of criticism because our modern world thinks that a submissive woman is reduced in her worth and can have no voice or opinions of her own.

This is not the case in a biblical marriage, however. The submission of a Christian wife to her husband is the same kind as our submission to Christ. This is a voluntary submission, under the authority of another. In like fashion, husbands are to love their wives as Christ loves the church, meaning they must be willing to sacrifice for their wives.

We read in Scripture, "Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband."---Ephesians 5:33 NASB

sub·mit·tedsub·mit·ting

Full Definition of SUBMIT

transitive verb
1
a : to yield to governance or authority
b : to subject to a condition, treatment, or operation <the metal was submitted to analysis>
2
: to present or propose to another for review, consideration, or decision; also : to deliver formally <submitted my resignation>
3
: to put forward as an opinion or contention <we submit that the charge is not proved>
intransitive verb
1
a : to yield oneself to the authority or will of another : surrender
b : to permit oneself to be subjected to something <had to submit to surgery>
2
: to defer to or consent to abide by the opinion or authority of another
— sub·mit·tal

So do you or the bible have a different definition of submit?

Genesis 3:16
New International Version (NIV)
16 To the woman he said,

“I will make your pains in childbearing very severe;
with painful labor you will give birth to children.
Your desire will be for your husband,
and he will rule over you.”

Ruling isn't really ruling.

Now, have christians changed in the last 50 yrs due to the women's liberation. Absolutely. But in defiance of the bible.

God acted not because they did not believe in Him but because they were all wicked and evil and God was deeply trouble for He had to do the difficult thing in order to stop this wickedness and evil from spreading.
Genesis 5
5 The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.
6 The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled.

We now know through archaeological advancement just how wicked and evil humans were 6000 years ago with discovered graves of babies, children and women offer as human sacrifices, cannibalism, murder, rape, ethnic cleansing etc. When God send two angels in human form to Sodom and Gomorrah the people wanted to harm them thanks to Lot they were saved.

Remember the key words wicked and evil that was the time that God intervene.

Let me see as I read Scripture I see no where, where Jesus tells us why he chose men to be His disciples.

Why don't you just speculate, you're always doing that anyway?

What is this thing you have concerning men and women anyways?

God loves all of us, women and men equally, and of course He loves all the little ones too, little baby girls as well as little baby boys, He loves the entire human race, females and males, that is all you need to concern yourself with.

Only the good people are doing His will. Are you doing God's will?
God's intervention is the last resort the only time that God intervene is when 95% of the human race are wicked and evil that is why only Noah and his family were save. Wiping out evil is not a bad thing don't you agree?

God gave us free will with free will God distant Himself from knowing what we will do tomorrow He gave us that responsibility. God knows all that good will always triumph over evil.

One thing I am sure I am on God's side. How about you?

Men will destroy this earth and and that is the time God will once and for the last time intervene.

Lucifer does not know that only God knows and the reason Lucifer does not know that is because he is too proud just like Stalin, Hitler, Mao and all their likes they can only see themselves. God will not allow Lucifer to destroy the earth that is why once in while God will send His angels to guide us or Mary mother of God to protect us through God.

God does not change what you decide to do He will how ever intervene if He sees that you have sinfully or unintentionally chose the wrong path God will save you if not in this life in after life "Father forgive them for they know not what they do" "today you will be with me in paradise"

I know that I chose God.
How about you God or Lucifer?
If you chose Lucifer then this mean it is 50 / 50 you for Lucifer and me for God.
If you chose God then this mean 2 for God and zero for Lucifer.

WanRen.......you posted this...."Today, all scientist have accepted the fact that humans did not evolved from an ape but that all apes in fact they believe all creatures came from one single source for primates that consisted of humans and apes they believe it came from the a single source that they term Hominidae People like you still chose to use that old term ape either because of pure ignorance or just intentional ignorance."...end quote WanRen.

ALL SCIENTISTS?

I will tell you what.

POST ONE LINK TO ONE VIABLE NON-CHRISTIAN UNBIASED SOURCE WHERE YOU CAN FIND A SINGLE SCIENTIST THAT CLAIMS HUMANS ARE NOT A MEMBER OF THE FAMILY OF GREAT APES!!!

JUST ONE!!!

Never mind all....JUST ONE LOUSY UNBIASED NON-CHRISTIAN INSTITUTE OR GROUP....SCIENTIST!!!

Any of the over 1000 COLLEGES OF UNIVERSITIES IN THE UNITED STATES THAT ARE NOT KNOWN AS A RELIGIOUS LEARNING INSTITUTION....will do....and find ONE SCIENTIST....JUST ONE....that will claim that HUMANS ARE NOT PART OF THE FAMILY OF GREAT APES....just one....JUST ONE....ONE...1...!!!!!

Radical scholars and not the majority of scholars. Look the real truth is they just don't really know anything for sure because of a lack of evidence.

So how can anybody make conclusions, there simply isn't any conclusions to be made. This event took place several thousands of years ago and so no surprise they can't find any evidence up to this point.

And let me again remind you that absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. I've must have said this a billion times...lol

When those angels showed up how many wings did they have, two, four, or six?

Since all of the things that the ancients were accused of doing have also be done by people since they were exterminated what good did it do to exterminate them? What did it solve?

If Mary is the mother of God what kind of godly powers does she have? They should be awesome. Shouldn't people worship her instead of God? It's obvious that she is more powerful than God since she gave birth to him.

No, that can't be it. First of all in the Christian faith they know they are not treated as 2nd class, if they were they wouldn't be attending services, furthermore it might be an indication that they are wiser than men into believing in the truths of the Christian religion.

As most of us know, women are not by nature as rebellious as men. Proof of that is seen in our prisons. There are more men incarcerated than women in our prison systems.

In the United States alone, men are much more likely to be incarcerated than women. Nearly 9 times as many men (5,037,000) as women (581,000) had ever at one time been incarcerated in a State or Federal prison at year end 2001.
