Say what again?..."as because what it is that I actually do allows me to know a great deal more about some realities that are NOT currently admitted to."

Is this the sci-fi writer in you speaking about realities that exist only in your mind that are actually unrealities and that's why they are not currently admitted to? So do you expect these unrealities to become realities sometime in the near future?

You are over stating about the "Trillions upon Trillions of Galaxies each one having Hundreds of Billions of Stars and Trillions of Planets orbiting them." There has been a recent update.

Back in Jan. of 2021 we read in an article:

Probability doesn't dictate anything Above. It's just wishful thinking by non-believers of God that there are other life forms out there in the vastness of the universe. If there were God would have revealed it to us but there is no such revelation coming from Almighty God, Our Creator in the Scriptures of His Holy Bible.

    We Read in Scripture:

3 When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—
the moon and the stars you set in place— Psalm 8:3 NLT

When we see the vast number of stars, then read that scientists have discovered hundreds of billions of galaxies, tens of thousands of neutron stars in the Milky Way alone, we should be standing in reverent fear of a God so immense to make all that and call it the work of His fingers!

Ok Above thanks for your post, it was a pleasure for me to respond to it.

Yahweh loved his Shekinah and BBQ too.

God had a wife, Asherah, whom the Book of Kings suggests was worshipped alongside Yahweh in his temple in Israel, according to an Oxford scholar. In 1967, Raphael Patai was the first historian to mention that the ancient Israelites worshipped both Yahweh and Asherah.Mar 18, 2011

We, the Church, are the Bride of Christ.. yeah, the apostate Hebrews committed all manner of idol worship, much as the apostates do today...ya know... a new one world religion. so asherah is not the wife of God

No Izzy, God has never had a wife named Asherah, nor any other wife for that matter at anytime.

The ancient Israelites were right in worshipping the One True God but they crossed the line when they started worshipping the pagan false goddess Asherah and other pagan false gods. These pagan religions believed that their false gods as having wives, love interests, and consorts. And yes, they even believed the One True God of having a wife. These were not all of the Israelites, just the ones who crossed the line that angered God tremendously. He called these pagan gods worthless idols!

    We Read in Scripture:

11 Has any nation ever traded its gods for new ones,

even though they are not gods at all?

Yet my people have exchanged their glorious God[a]

for worthless idols! Jeremiah 2:11 NLT

There is absolutely no evidence to support such an assertion. When we scrutinize the Old Testament manuscripts with a fine tooth comb we find absolutely no evidence of manipulation that would edit out Asherah as God's wife.

However though, we do find plenty of evidence showing the opposite, that the One True God of the Bible never had a wife and never needed a wife. The Scriptures of the Bible clearly presents marriage as something temporarily instituted by God for us human beings alone.

    We Read in Scripture:

18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” 19 So the Lord God formed from the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man[a] to see what he would call them, and the man chose a name for each one. 20 He gave names to all the livestock, all the birds of the sky, and all the wild animals. But still there was no helper just right for him.

21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. While the man slept, the Lord God took out one of the man’s ribs and closed up the opening. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man.

23 “At last!” the man exclaimed.
“This one is bone from my bone,
    and flesh from my flesh!
    She will be called ‘woman,’
because she was taken from ‘man.’”

24 This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.

25 Now the man and his wife were both naked, but they felt no shame. Genesis 2:18-25 NLT

Unlike man, God has never been alone. Because God is a triune being consisting of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, He already has union with Himself and has always existed in a loving relationship. Therefore, there is no need for God to have a wife or companion.

Ok Izzy thanks for your post, it was a pleasure for me to respond to it to help you become fully aware that God has never had a wife named Asherah.

Allow me to help you here Above because it appears you're not quite on a Christian path which is not surprising since you're a non-Christian. Christianity is really about the Lord Savior Jesus Christ. Basically through belief in Him one is saved and goes to heaven (paradise) to live with the Lord forever. As for unbelievers, they will be punished for their sins and be separated from the Lord forever. That's really what it boils down to in its simplistic form.
The word paradise is usually used as a synonym for heaven.

    We Read in Scripture:

7 “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. To everyone who is victorious I will give fruit from the tree of life in the paradise of God. Revelation 2:7 NLT

So heaven (paradise) is a place where saved people go to be in the paradise of God. In other words, paradise is a place of blessing where the righteous go after death.
Furthermore paradise will be a place where the Lord will wipe every tear from our eyes, there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever. Definitely sounds like paradise to me.

    We Read in Scripture:

4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” Revelation 21:4 NLT

Ok Above, thanks for your post, it was a pleasure for me to respond to it.

No, God did not have Asherah as His wife.

"Asherah" most often is an object. An asherah was a pole or statue indicating a place of worship of an idol, not the God of the Bible. They were often located on top of hills so travelers could "worship" on their journey.

In 2 Kings 21, Manasseh (one of the most evil kings of Israel) worshiped idols and placed asherah throughout the land and even installed one in the Temple. This is recorded as an abomination, God was not pleased. In 2 Kings 23, Josiah abolished all the asherah, had them removed and destroyed, and killed all the priests associated with the asherah. As a result, God blessed Josiah.

The scholar you mention is correct to state the Israelites at times worshipped false gods, the Jews often drifted away from God. Thats the story of Genesis through Deuteronomy, the Jews obey God and do well, then they drift away and worship false gods, they suffer and return to God. The cycle repeats several times.

And thats nothing new, its all over the Bible that the ancient Israelites at times worshiped false gods. She is most certainly not the first to mention such an obvious fact.

And its not new that some claim a God-ashterah connection, but that claim requires the person to either not read the Bible (because the "relationship" did not exist) or claim the Bible was "modified" to edit out the relationship. First prove the Bible was modified, then prove the modification was the removal of the relationship (which nobody has done).

Sounds like you got high off of some illicit drug or something, perhaps taking that peyote drug, have you been hanging around with some of them American Indians who are known to use peyote?

Above, sorry but this is not like a new concept, I mean it's just common sense that after death we will have no concerns for our physical bodies. Our physical dead bodies are inoperative at this point.

Now it appears you have entered another reality, another dimension so to speak...a dimension into the twilight zone.

I guess you're unaware that the Bible tells us that God will give His saved people an imperishable body for all eternity in heaven.

    We Read in Scripture:

    The Resurrection Body

35 But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body do they come?” 36 You foolish person! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. 37 And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain. 38 But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body. 39 For not all flesh is the same, but there is one kind for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish. 40 There are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is of one kind, and the glory of the earthly is of another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.

42 So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. 43 It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45 Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”;[a] the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual. 47 The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. 49 Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.

    Mystery and Victory

50 I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. 53 For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. 54 When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:

“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
55 “O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”

56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:35-58 ESV

Obviously you do not understand what it means, so let me first start by presenting Scripture from Genesis 1:26.

    We Read in Scripture:

26 Then God said, “Let us make human beings[a] in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.” Genesis 1:26 NLT

First thing to point out is that our likeness with God is not a physical resemblance. God is not a human being. God's plan for us humans included giving us responsibilities on earth. We will reign over the fish is the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground, and this we humans have being doing all throughout our history.

We did not evolve from other lower forms of life but we were directly created by God to represent Him on the earth and have reign over every other creation in His name.
Having God’s image means we are fashioned to resemble and represent God on the earth. As I've already mentioned our likeness with God is not a physical resemblance but instead it designates our capacity to rule over creation and be in relationship with God and other humans and to exercise creativity, rationality, reason, intelligence, speech, moral consciousness and choice (free will). These qualities/characteristics of ours is what sets us apart from all other living beings.

Only we humans are uniquely created in the image and likeness of God. We were made like Him so that we could be in relationship with Him...the one and only triune God.
And since the beginning of time, God has desired to bless us and enjoy close fellowship with us, and for this reason He made us like Himself.

Well God did appear in human form. Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ is God Incarnate, the Son of God who took on a fleshly bodily form. He came into the world to save mankind from its sins.

    We Read in Scripture:

14 So the Word became human[a] and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. John 1:14 NLT

Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ said, "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him." John 3:17 NAS

Ok Above thanks for your post, it was a pleasure for me to respond to it.

Truth be told, evolution cannot be observed or tested any more or less than intelligent design. So it really comes down to faith. I have unquestioning faith that the Creator Almighty God is responsible for everything in existence.

I just can't accept the faith of atheists who claim that there is an alternative explanation other than a Creator for how the universe and life came into existence. Essentially their creator is evolution, this makes atheism true in their worldview. According to Our Creator Almighty God, only fools say in their hearts there is no God.

    We Read in Scripture:

1 Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good! Psalm 53:1 NLT

This foolishness is not implying a lack of intelligence but indicates an inability to properly apply knowledge.

    We Read in Scripture:

7 Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and discipline. Proverbs 1:7 NLT

Our Creator Almighty God made it so obvious to us, I mean ever since the world was created, we have seen the earth and sky. Everything God made, we can clearly see His invisible qualities...His eternal power and divine nature, we have no excuse for not knowing God.

    We Read in Scripture:

20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. Romans 1:20 NLT

But instead the unbelievers traded the truth about God for a lie, they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator Himself, who is worthy of eternal praise!

    We Read in Scripture:

25 They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. Romans 1:25 NLT

Speaking about silliness...how SILLY it is for anyone to think,
It's a known fact that none of us were there to observe anything because billions of years ago it was essentially the unobservable past. And we really have no idea, no indisputable evidence if the earth was at all in existence that long ago let alone the evolutionary process of humans having started.

And besides how could we observe this when you're speaking about a time when you claim humans were in the very early stages of evolution...probably as dumb as an ox in the hot month of July...lol

I've heard some evolutionists claim we were fish at one time, swimming in the ocean and one day these fish decided to walk on land...etc...lorl...that is so absurdly ridiculously silly...excuse me but I had to laugh out real loud.

And I don't know who told you that God looked like a human and created us to look like Him but I can tell you it certainly weren't Christians telling you that. Have you been visiting those non-Christian sites? We Christians learned through God's revelation that He is not a man, and so He does not lie and He is not human, so He does not change His mind....

    We Read in Scripture:

19 God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through? Numbers 23:19 NLT

Lastly, the first thing to recognize is that God does not have a body and therefore does not have gender in the technical sense. At the same time, God is consistently referred to as our heavenly Father in Scripture, never as our heavenly Mother. So the use of any feminine pronoun to refer to God is not proper. God the Father and God the Son are both masculine titles, and the Holy Spirit is consistently referred to with masculine pronouns. God has revealed Himself as male, and He is referred to by male pronouns throughout the Bible. To call God "Mother", "her", "it" is unbiblical.

Ok Above, thanks for your post, it was a pleasure for me to respond to it.

    Yeah! Mitt's right.

Evolution only has anatomy, molecular biology, biogeography, and a dozen other areas of research. Religion has revelation! You should trust the voices in you head over scientific research, obviously.

We were all born and have birth certificates to prove it. As is the entire recorded history of mankind, born. Not a single human being among them evolved into being. But you are free to ignore all of that which is, and to have faith in your gospel of science.

What does that even mean? A single human being "evolving into being"?

Are you imagining people think a woman gets pregnant and a baby "evolves" in her womb? Or what? I hope you know that's not how anybody has ever suggested evolution works.

And if not that, then what? "A single human bing"... "evolved into being".... ??? What?

You said mankind evolved. I said we are all born, not evolved. All thru human history, mankind was born, not evolved, neither from nor towards anything other than human. It is tangible, observable, and reasonable. Evolution is an empty bag. And so it also stands to reason that in the beginning mankind came from a male and female human. This suggests a divine hand or something outside the natural world to have created or fashioned them from the elements. So from my perspective, evolution is neither more nor less than an imaginative fantasy in complete disregard of reality and reason, if reality and reason are indicative of the truth.

Individuals don't evolve. Species do, slowly over time through mutations and survival, sometimes diverging to the point of no longer being able to mate, and thus becoming different species. We can see plenty of evidence of this.

Nobody has claimed that a fish gave birth to a dog or that a snail spawned a human. We are indeed always born of parents much like us, same DNA with only occasional mutations.

Magic faeries need not be involved.

Your statement is kind of incoherent to me, my post is regarding the Lord and the Rich Man passage in Scripture, what has Judaism got to do with what I'm talking about here?

Why bring up Jewish children? You're off topic talking about the Jewish children, the Rich Man passage is not about Jewish children. Sometimes I wonder what is going on in that former Christian preacher's head of yours?....lol

Well ok trev, thanks for your post, it was a pleasure for me to respond to it. I will get to the rest of your post in a wee bit. So until then please standby.

    Ghosts from 2014

I too found it horrifying YBIG

Brother Todd - I am afraid Brother Mitt is not here right now ... he is back in 2014 wandering the halls and talking to ghosts .. but if I can assist in any way .. tough questions you need answered .. such as what the role Priestesses in the Temple of YHWH were for ... do not hesitate to ask. I think it was the question about the name of God that threw Brother Mitt for a loop though .. and which Bible this God Wrote . if it was the KJV that is 100% God Breathed.. .. couldn't get any help with these issues.

Well he had to be at least 20 or so years old, and at that age who has kept all the commandments without even breaking a single one?...Let's be honest here trev, the answer is...none.

From a very young age children are already sinning by habitually lying about things. So no, trev we can safely say this particular rich young man was a sinner like everyone else. Our Lord told the rich young man there is only One who is good, of course He was referring to God who is perfectly Holy and sinless.

    We Read in Scripture:

Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ said,
17 “Why ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. But to answer your question—if you want to receive eternal life, keep the commandments.” Matthew 19:17 NLT

The rich man so often is blind to his spiritual poverty because he is proud of his accomplishments and has contented himself with his wealth. He is as likely to humble himself before God as a camel is to crawl through the eye of a needle.

The most likely explanation is that Lord Jesus was using hyperbole, a figure of speech that exaggerates for emphasis. He used this technique at other times, referring to a “plank” in one’s eye and swallowing a camel.

    We Read in Scripture:

Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ said,

3 “And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye[a] when you have a log in your own? 4 How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye. Matthew 7:3-5 NLT

24 Blind guides! You strain your water so you won’t accidentally swallow a gnat, but you swallow a camel![a] Matthew 23:24 NLT

To believe this, however, brings up more problems than it solves, namely casting doubt on the inerrancy and inspiration of Scripture. So the most likely explanation as I've already mentioned was that the Lord Jesus was using hyperbole as He has done before.

Well ok trev thanks for your post, it was a pleasure for me to respond to it, I will continue later on to finish up on your post as there are a few more comments you've made that I need to respond to.

What is this heresy Brother Todd - that you would accuse YHWH of divorcing his wife .. and what has this to do with the bride of Christ .. Mary Magdaline - who Jesus would kiss on the lips .. according to other Gospels ..

Now these apostate Hebrews .. indeed worshiped idols .. and the child sacrifice God YHWH .. and his consort Asherah .. the trees of which could be found at the entrance to the Temple of YHWH .. cause that's how YHWH liked to be worshiped .. the copper snake around the Asherah tree one depiction.. the Snake being a representation of the promordial Serpent - YHWH presented in the Dragon Motif -- the Sky God ... wrapped around his consort Innana - Ishtar -Asarte - Ashera .. all names for the Queen of Heaven.

Similar "idol" worship we have today .. some folks want to replace the teachings of Jesus with man made dogma of Martin Luther.. and all kinds of other heresy ... having the Son replace the Supreme one .. that kind of thing .. which we shall explore further with Brother Mitt.

What is this now Mitt "Jesus referring to God who is perfectly Holy and Sinless"

What is the name of this God you are referring to .. and who is this God who is perfectly Holy and Sinless. ? it is obviously someone other than Jesus .. obviously someone other than YHWH .. A God with the most petty and nasty of human characteristics ..

Who is this God Mitt ? Brother Todd and myself want to know ..

Well actually Jesus Christ has always been the Lord, but yes, at that time, the people didn't know that until much later in His ministry when His disciples were slowly beginning to realize He was indeed the Lord. They were basically the first to know, then there were hundreds of others who witnessed He was still alive even after being crucified and dead for three days. And of course to a Christian, Jesus Christ is our beloved Lord and Savior!

That's true that in Judaism wealth and riches are supposed to be blessings bestowed by God, such were their thinking/belief. It was commonly taught by the rabbis that rich people were blessed by God and were, therefore, the most likely candidates for heaven.

However the Lord destroyed that idea, along with it, the idea that anyone can earn eternal life. He said to His disciples that it is very hard for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Then He said it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God. The Lord's message in this passage was very clear...it is impossible for anyone to be saved on their own merits.

    We Read in Scripture:

23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is very hard for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. 24 I’ll say it again—it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!” Matthew 19:23-24 NLT

The disciples had the appropriate response to this astounding statement. They were utterly astounded and asked, “Then who in the world can be saved?”

    We Read in Scripture:

25 The disciples were astounded. “Then who in the world can be saved?” they asked. 26 Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.” Matthew 19:25-26 NLT

If the wealthy among them, which included the super-spiritual Pharisees and scribes, were unworthy of heaven, what hope was there for a poor man?

The Lord's answer is the basis of the gospel: “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.” (Matthew 19:26).

We are saved through God’s gifts of grace, mercy, and faith. God blesses those who are poor in spirit and realize their need for Him, the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.

    We Read in Scripture:

8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Ephesians 2:8-9 NLT

    The Beatitudes

Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ said,
3 “God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him,[a] for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. Matthew 5:3 NLT

Nothing we do earns salvation for us. It is the poor in spirit who inherit the kingdom of God, those who recognize their spiritual poverty and their utter inability to do anything to justify themselves to a holy God. The rich man so often is blind to his spiritual poverty because he is proud of his accomplishments and has contented himself with his wealth. He is as likely to humble himself before God as a camel is to crawl through the eye of a needle.

Let me just answer your question this way first, the whole point of this passage of the Rich man was to point out that having riches doesn't mean you are blessed by God and therefore, the most likely candidates for heaven. Our Lord, as I've mentioned above, destroyed that idea.

The Lord's message in this passage was very clear...it is impossible for anyone to be saved on their own merits. We are saved through God’s gifts of grace, mercy, and faith. God blesses those who are poor in spirit and realize their need for Him, the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.

Furthermore in the passage the Lord was not suggesting that we should give away all our money, that's not the point of the passage. Now to answer your question directly, who in their right mind would give an itinerant preacher all their money?...only a fool would.

Ok trev thanks for your post, it was a pleasure for me to respond to it.

Quite the dance of avoidance.. pretending to know Jesus yet you do not know the Sinless Perfect God Jesus is referring to .. and can not bear to address the question .. deflecting to Ghosts from 2014..

Free yourself from the grip of the deceiver Brother Mitt - Trying to supplant the teachings of Jesus with man made dogma is the path of darkness.

I do back up what I say by presenting Scripture. This is a Christian thread and so it's only proper for me to use what's written in the Scriptures and keep in line with it. Did you think I was just making stuff up on my own?...silly you.

Furthermore, I believe what's written in the Scriptures of the Holy Bible because it's the Word of God. If you don't believe it, fine so be it. Like I said I'm not trying to convert anyone. I have absolutely no power to do that. One has to acquire faith in God willingly on their own.

No, the condition of misinterprelitus that you and others that I called out suffer from, is because of your inabilities to comprehend properly of what is presented to you. In other words yall are interpretation impaired. I clear up things but despite that, yall still suffer from the condition of misinterprelitus. Scripture tells us why, it's because the devil has blinded your minds.

    We Read in Scripture:

4 Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. 5 You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake. 2 Corinthians 4:4-5 NLT

Ok dairy, thanks for your post, it was a pleasure for me to respond to it.
