Everyone's righteous living in other words all of humanity living the righteous way.

Just basic righteous living, treating others with respect and dignity at all times.

I'm sure you've heard of the Golden Rule, haven't you? Lord Jesus told us, do to others whatever you would like them to do to you.

So, if you're a person who has any decency then you would want to be treated with respect and dignity therefore you would treat others with the same respect and dignity that you desire for yourself.

    We Read in Scripture:

Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ said,

    The Golden Rule

12 “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets. Matthew 7:12 NLT

Just imagine if we all could just follow the Golden Rule, this world would be a much better place than it is now. But because of mankind's sinful nature it will never happen. We will never have a world here on earth that will be perfectly righteous. We live in a sinful fallen world, that's the reality.

The only place where everything is perfectly righteous is of course where the Lord's Kingdom is, His Kingdom of Heaven, where there will be no more death, sorrow, crying or pain. All these things are gone forever. That is definitely Paradise, where all the saved Christians will live happily-ever-after with the Lord for all eternity!

    We Read in Scripture:

4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” Revelation 21:4 NLT

Ok thanks trev for your post, it was a pleasure for me to respond to it.

Do you believe that this "paradise" is only for those who believe in Jesus or is it open to everyone?

What bearing has the calamity between the deaf and the blind upon those who know the truth, who can see and hear at once. Is it an offense to say the sun appears, and with it, the sounds of dawn.
Reason dictates that if God is real, then there can only be one. So it isn't I who cancels the falsehoods or multiplicity of Gods, but reason itself. What men conjure is irrelevant to me. I dismiss it all. Even those who preach from the Bible, I dismiss it. From the benign Billy Graham to the traveling wild eyed tent revivalists, and the vulturish Priests of orthodoxy, I shun it all. I have life already. Who can add to that? God has come to me, and the whole world rolls off like water.

You are learned. I am not. Yet you say that I am the one indoctrinated. Is it indoctrination to love and honor your Parents for having loved you first. Is it indoctrination to love your Wifes spirit and personality? Is it indoctrination to love God for having loved you first and filled your cup. Is the recognizance of tenderness an indoctrination. Doctrine comes from knowing, not the other way around. First you know. Then you jot it down. If you learn by doctrine, then you know about something. But you don't actually know that something. You only know about it. Doctrines point us to God. They are not God. God doesn't live in scripture. He lives in heaven. Neither are the scriptures the end of his words. His words are endless as is he. If scriptures are the all of God, then God has become barren and mute....a slave. It would have began and ended with Genesis. And all that followed become acts of blasphemy. Likewise the new testament to the old would be falsehood. Similarly, that an infant is born toothless and commanded to suckle. Later it gets teeth and is commanded to chew. Is this blasphemy and God changeable. Or is it part of Gods greater plan. And later still, the adolescent gets permanent teeth, and is commanded to chew and eat all things for all time. Is this audacious? Has God become at war with himself? Is it madness. Does nature defy God. Or did God fold into us his own purposes for us. How many Gods are there? There is only one.

Someone has been pulling your chain friend. Finding some uplifting scripture sometime after your visitation from a spirit guide does not mean that this spirit was Jesus.. Did you not hear the words spoken to you, or is it that you did not understand .. that the Devil is not going to show up in a red cape and horns.

Do you think the Devil and/or his agents are stupid ? Do you think they have no power ? Who is the one being silly and naive ?

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." John 10:27-28

The sheep referred to were the Jews. Jesus was speaking in the Temple to his own people. The 'sheep not of this fold' are not specified. Only assumed by Christians to be the Gentiles.
If so, why did Jesus never minister to the Gentiles? How could they believe on him if he ignored them. That the people of the Decapolis even heard of Jesus - despite Matthews claims - is unlikely. The Greeks of the cities, and even Helenised Jews were not in favour of Judaism. Given the geography and distance between the cities of the day this piece of Matthew is - like his nativity story - simply made up.

I think the answer is found in the number of religions that have been started by visions, by spiritual visitations, by angel voices, etc. etc. all of whom claim to be THE right religion. We have Injeun - a Mormon. I spoke to a group of Christians just today as they were giving out leaflets in the street. I regularly talk to JW's. Then we have other religions like the Fox sisters and the Spiritualist Church, Rastafarians, Moslems and........so on. All believe they are right. God must be confused.

What matters to me isn't where God chose to be born and die. But that he is God. If he was born and died as the King of the tribe of WOG, then I would follow the King of the tribe of WOG. Even Jesus's fellow countrymen were astonished by him. They asked, "Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things? And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house." Matthew 13:52-55

I didn't choose the King of the Jews from the worlds marketplace. I knew nothing of religion. One day I prayed to the unknown and unseen God of the universe. And when he answered and called me by the visitation of his spirit a few days later, I was prodded by his servants upon whom he had also poured his spirit which I saw in vision, and I chose to follow. I didn't know that he was the King of the Jews. I only know and remember him as God. And I can't deny that. So I can add my testimony to all the Patriarchs and Prophets who preceded him and all his Apostles and those of his gospel who perished in his service and testimony.

This may sound wildly supernatural. But it was really rather quaint though astonishing to me. Astonishing that I could recognize and remember a God whom I had never known in my life. And more astonishing that I could have forgotten the eternal God in the first place. Who can forget God? Yet I had.

Apparently you missed where I said that I recognized and remembered his spirit. He also filled me with peace and charity. And that is the absence of evil. By virtue of his divinity I chose to repent and be baptized and to look to Jesus Christ. If that is the devils trick, then he has outfoxed himself. But no, the matter was overseen by God.

Do you think that the God of mankind is only the God of the Jews because that's where he was born and died? Do you think that he should be born everywhere all at once? One life and death of God is enough to accomplish the task of salvation. Will you rewrite the purposes of God and say he doesn't know his own business? Talk about "made up!"

God can die? His purpose in killing thousands of people for no reason? I'm sure the people of Turkey and Syria would be pleased that god allowed them to die. Probably some Christians. Nevertheless it seems Muslims are also in Gods plans, as are Hindu's,Buddhists, Aztecs, Mayans, Aborigines. Shouldn't they have been told about Gods death and Salvation if gods sacrifice was for all. I think you really believe what you have been told - as do many 'born again' Christians. That's your 'truth'. The problem is that from the beginning of time men have had 'visitations/experiences' that have all had differing consequences. The history of the early Americans in Mormon teachings fails when tested by science and what we know existed in the Americas. Not the things the Nephites? are supposed to have brought. Real History disproves these things. It's simply another 'Bible style' story like Moses etc.
The one thing you Mormons are to be credited for is your lifestyle which many, outside your religion, could follow.
Regardless of all religious beliefs if a god created this earth he didn't care what it did to his 'creation'.

and last but not least -- Zoroastrians .. of who I ran into one the other day .. had that cool flying dude hanging from necklace .. The Persian High God - Ahura Mazda .. from which Judaic monotheism God was fashioned .. but I digress.

The plethora of other visitations (including my own NDE .. of which I have discussed with young apprentice) begs the question of ones God being the one True God ... "Everyone says that :) - and only one can be true .. setting a logical trap which negates one of the fundamentalist claims ( one reason why I keep asking for the name) .. Thus ... even those who have had a visitation .. can not claim the spirit who visited them .. is the one true God.

I question something different .. how can one be sure that the visitation they had .. and some deja vu attachment to holy scripture after the fact .. again be it the Quran .. Bible -- Veda .. actually connects the sprite to that book.. This is also the problem with Revelations...

Some dude had a dream .. OK .. cool .. saw all this cool stuff .. beasts coming out of the sea and angels from heaven coming down to fight them.

OK so when I wake up .. I attach the various Gods in the story to Gods/ deities I already know - believe in .. this is how these things work.

At the time when Revelations was written ~ 100 AD .... a whole lot of religious cults were messianic .. believing in some kind of end times apocalypse .. many of them Christian in fact almost everyone that was Christian was messianic .. various Jewish cults end of the world believing .. end times coming soon. These Vision texts were a dime a dozen .. which is one of the reasons Eusebius .. and others .. viewed Revelations as "Spurious" .. and subsequent rough ride the book had making it into Canon over many decades if not centuries.

No Brother InJ .. I did not miss where you "remembered the spirit" .. what part of deja vu .. or better yet .. if the devil can fool you once .. he can probably fool you twice .. did not ring the bell .. another way of saying Sataniel the great deceiver is not showing up in horns and a tail .. did you think you are smarter than Ha Satan ? .. Really now Brother J .... not gonna blaspheme the one son of God named Jesus ... but gonna blaspheme the other .. how fascinating .. You be smarter than Ha Satan .. .... :) your funny :)

The Book of Revelations in the Bible was adapted from the Book of Revelations written by the Essenes 100+ years earlier. It is made up of images from the OT with some additions. The Essenes use Mother Earth. John adds Jesus. Both are written by Jews who hated Rome and viewed Rome itself as the Harlot. And if you know went on in Rome of the time, they got it about right.

'Does nature defy God' asks Injeun.

If it obeys 'god' then thousands are killed right now by 'god's' plan.

Do you think the "meat grinder" in Ukraine was part of God's plan and the coming clone wars ... humans being taken out of the picture ... AI making battlefield decisions already .. and we just begun .. whe is God in all this technology .. or is this technology on way to becoming God.

Perhaps that is what our purpose is .. to create another God .. we are part of the God creation process .. the hands guided by the unsceen realm .. the ream without physical substance but with the ability to create and urge creatures made of physical substance in this realm to build a new God.

Asking a non-existent god for an answer is liking asking my non-existent wife what to have for my dinner.
An example of the blind acceptance of religion. In a recent broadcast from Turkey a child was pulled alive from the wreckage of a building. A muslim was heard to say 'God is great'. Yet his god had just killed thousands by creating this world so unstable these things occur. Great? The ability to think suppressed by indoctrination.
By the way. Chicken for dinner thanks to my own decision and a double head coin. :knifefork:

That would be an absurdity, an illogical proposition. Things don't exist before they come into being...that's ludicrous trev. Did you exist prior to being conceived 83 years ago in your mother's womb?

You only existed in God's thoughts for He knew you before you were even born but as far as existing as a living breathing human being no siree bubba louie, you did not exist. That would apply to the universe and everything else that exists in that they did not exist before coming into being. Before God brought everything into existence only He existed.

    We Read in Scripture:

    Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
you formed me in my mother’s womb.
I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
    I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
    you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
    Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
before I’d even lived one day.
    Your thoughts—how rare, how beautiful!
God, I’ll never comprehend them! Psalm 139:13-17 MSG

Things come into existence because they are caused to come into existence. I guess you have not heard of "cause and effect"? Things just don't pop into existence without a cause and so the religion of atheism is absurd...the "poof!" fairytale belief is unreasonable, illogical, absurd.

Everything in existence came into being because God caused it to come into being. The Creator Almighty God is the Uncaused Being that caused everything else to come into existence. He is Uncaused because He is Eternal, meaning He has no beginning, He has no end, He simply exists. He is the Creator Almighty God!

Mitt said no such thing or rather believes no such thing, what Mitt said is that atheists believe the universe sprang from nothing..."poof!" and everything magically appeared all by itself. Mitt said that was ludicrous, illogical.

Mitt believes the universe sprang from Something and that Something that Mitt believes the universe and everything else sprang from is the Creator Almighty God. Matter of fact God's creativity is often referred to as the "First Cause".

Yes, indeed there was something all right. So now trev if you could only take just a small step further and admit it was God then there is hope for you.

So, it's not out of the question for you doing a full circle and returning to your roots. The Lord will forgive you for your sins but don't delay, the door that leads to eternal bliss doesn't stay open forever.

Ok thanks trev for your post.

Trevor misconstrued my post regarding the existence of God. He said there is no proof, so therefore there is no God. I mentioned that the earth revolved around the sun while men believed the opposite. And that the earth was as it is even before it was circumnavigated, mapped and so forth by man. So everything we discover and find, already existed before we know it. Even that which we build already exists in the earth in pieces. We just had to find it and put it together from the elements. Therefore God may live, even though it isn't proven in any tangible sense, and men don't know it.

That said, and I know you don't believe it, my religion teaches that we existed as heavenly spirits before we were born. This too may be Trevors reference for his post. Anyway, keep up the good work Mitt.

That was proposed by another poster - not me.

You can answer all questions but the relevant ones. That's why I take nothing you say seriously. You simply post 'by rote'.
If nothing comes from nothing then god does not exist. Science yet has to identify the 'big bang' which we know happened. What science isn't bothering about is a big bang that created a god. Evidence exists for the first but not for the second.

Yes, Jesus Christ in service to God his Father allowed himself to suffer and die at the hands of his oppressors. His spirit left his body and went elsewhere for a time. Then he returned and took up his body, conquering death and the world.

You are somewhat right about the LDS Church. The Jews have their people and lineage established. Their existence and history is supported by archaeology. And they have their original scriptural remnants. What they lack is proof that their God is real. So Judaism is hard to chew. But Christianity is even harder with the addition of a Savior, immaculate conception, resurrection, etc. All of which cannot be proven. The LDS Church is the hardest of the three to chew because it has zero archaeological evidence in support of an ancient civilization. It has zero support or evidence of their Nephite/Lamanite offspring or lineage existing today or ever. And it hasn't a shred of scriptural remnants to support the BOM. It is alone but for the ministering of Gods spirit, without which it would be DOA.
