An Israeli Patriot intercepted a small drone from Syria

A small drone penetrated northern Israeli airspace Thursday night. It was shot down by an Israeli Air force Patriot missile before it landed. This incident highlights the rising tension on the Syrian-Israeli border.

I doubt the radar system could pick up something as small as a $200 drone. If this happened at all, it surely would have been a drone similar in size to our own military drones.

 

The US taxpayer paid a lot of money to give that baseball bat to Israel but they used it to know down a cheap drone.

A drone is not just a cheap drone if it is spotting you for artillery strikes.
The price of not shooting it down may be considerably higher than the price of doing so.

I don't think too many days go by in a row in which someone doesn't fire artillery off at Israel.

Besides- the Golan is Syrian territory. The Israelis commit an illegal act every time they enter it. Their squats , military or militia, are condemned by international law.

If it was spotting targets for mortars then you don't really have a case here.

Make a better one and people may actually be willing to buy them from you.

Drones are small and move quickly but still need to sit still to target an object for artillery.
Quite why you'd use a couple of million dollar missile is less than economic unless the missile was a free gift from idiot American taxpayers.
