    Good morning troops! This is my Friday, heading to Texas tomorrow, then I'm off all next week. Can't wait to see my family!

    Do we have vodka in this joint? I'm thinking bloody mary's for breakfast.

    How much room do y'all have in that truck, Kimi? I can hide in the smallest nook and only bring my toothbrush.

    Hi all.

    Saint David's Day isn't a holiday in Wales, unfortunately, despite it being our recognised 'National Day' for centuries - the parliament in England won't allow it:

    Hello SMW! I noticed your name as I browsed the PF sections (used to be called rooms). Sorry I bailed on the other forum, well I didn’t bail my free time online diminished due to domestic stuff my like my old basset hound friend, bogie and mom needed more attention, bogie is going on 14 years old so he has issues, and moms is 81 so she too has age related stuff going on. Soooo the various forums such as the Sportster XL Forum (a motorcycle forum) and other favs had to be put on hold for now.

    I will be back when I save up enough money to coast until then its grant writing time and odd job time. The NP/ 501c business is taking a large hit during this depression that is called a recovered recession, yeah right! Well it feels like a depression here in
    poverty-ville (East TN). Anyway I hope this mess of a post finds you well and happy. Yours~ Rev.

    Thanks, God always provides, but lately ‘he’ has been a little skinny with the manna. Ole Job* (biblical) can tell you just how skinny it can get!*, lol. Hmm' Maybe I better blame the skinny times on the devil instead of the prime mover of the universe.

    * Job used to have everything material and even spiritual, but in a test of his faith God took everything including his health (temporally) and poor Job ended up sitting outside the city scraping his lice off and nursing sores with a piece of broken pottery…I hope God doesn’t push it that far with me…(lol)

    * ((((likewiseX2))) hugs that is...........

    Anyone with automobile may be of assistance, there is a scraping noise when driving it comes and goes. It is an Acura but those are Honda's, so anyone with this import may have experienced this.

    I searched online a few places and have found that rear brake pads wear thin on these cars quickly, it could be that or a more interesting explanation that I read is the "Dust Shield" is scraping against the rotor, and it needs to be pulled out.

    If it happens again, ill knock on the rotor and probably pull on it but looks like I may have to change the Rear pads again.

    Hi LM,

    It seems as though you've narrowed it down to being break related, if in doubt, it's best to get it checked out. Could be any number of things with the brakes, from the dust shield to one of the pads becoming partially disconnected. Yes, it can happen. lol

    Another thing that can happen is the possibility of slightly warping a rotor and /or a pad becoming glazed over with a hard film. This is typically caused from driving through standing water in the street after a fast rain or whatever. Maybe the rotor can be turned without replacement, maybe not. Often the pad can be sprayed with a brake cleaner and abraded with sandpaper. Obviously replacement is the better option if the pad is really worn. But I have seen good/full pads be subject to this, then cleaned/abraded, and reinstalled to function/work perfectly.

    Anyway, do yourself a favor, get it checked out soon. #1 ~ for safety... #2 ~ before a possibly inexpensive set of pads, result in also having to replace rotors. ;)

    Good luck with it.

    ~~~~~~
    Good morning guys, hope you all have a good/safe weekend. :sun:
    Love that tune (Hen's March), and nobody plays it better than Swarb.
    And while I'm in the mood for Swarb, we might as well have some if this too:
