If a boss is explaining the negative consequences of policies implemented by a particular candidate on his business, he might be doing the employees a favor by informing them of what to expect if you elect X instead of Y. This doesn't sound like a problem to me.

they can say all they want, but it's not like they can force anyone to vote the way they want them to.

It is not painting a whimsical rosy picture in the least. Stating that you have the option to work elsewhere is true. I also said that not all choices are without consequence. Most choices have consequences in life, but that the consequences in this scenario do not outweigh stripping the First Amendment of its teeth.

There's always options. You and I have the option to jump off a bridge in the next year. What's reality say though? That it's not an option... yes? Likewise, you can ask plenty of Americans (right now) if they feel "just leaving" is an option. What do you think the majority answer will be?

Unions do this. Why not corperations. Most drones assume corperations are evil so anything they do is bad. Meanwhile, unions take dues from there members and donate it to politicians (i scratch ur back u scratch mine) But to drones, this is ok because the government is doing it and most drones believe government is clean and pure like the wind drivin snow. Like animal farm, 4 legs good, 2 legs baddddd

    Unions
    Black Panthers: Voter intimidation
    Civic Groups

    How about fraud? ACORN

Funny when a con does something like try to get you to vote to save your job liberal (*)(*)(*)(*) gets thrown out.

Multiple GOP groups have been caught recently engaging in voter fraud. Why aren't they on your list?

Name them and I will gladly talk (*)(*)(*)(*) about them as well. I am a conservative (most of the time) but I think of the GOP what I thought of the (*)(*)(*)(*) I flushed this morning.

Bosses, as individuals, have the right to say whatever they want. Advising their employees of the impact of the outcome is also well within their rights, as the business owner.

You vote however you deem fit.

Nice deflection. The thread is about evil corperations telling there workers who they should vote for. Not voter fraud.

In Neveda, the casinios rallied there workers to vote for Harry Ried. Do I have a problem with it? Nope. Because those corperations supporting the people who they think will do them the most favors. Do they force there workers to support democrats... Nope... But Unions do force there workers to support Democrats by taking there dues and donating it to democrats they may or maynot support.

Boy confirmed voter ID would fix this crap. You know the people really have no real voice in this country. Well some of the dead ones do.

Personally I think only the military should get an absentee ballot and simply put no early votes. Voting would be a one week closed process. Every person should vote in person, show ID, have it verified... and anyone caught screwing with the system should be tried for treason (which this fits the Webster definition) and be executed!

1: the betrayal of a trust : treachery
2: the offense of attempting by overt acts to overthrow the government of the state to which the offender owes allegiance or to kill or personally injure the sovereign or the sovereign's family.

Non citizens should be summarily executed if they try to vote by any fraudulent means.

Will these steps deter them? No but the offender pool will shrink quickly.

You are correct. I moved it off task by pointing out other forms of voter manipulation. Sorry.

It's not a deflection. I already addressed unions telling their members how to vote when it was first brought up. The post I quoted did specifically mention voter fraud, so I quoted it and continued talking about what that post was talking about.

I agree with everything you said except execution. We already kill more people with capital punishment than any other country. We should be finding ways of making that number smaller, not larger.

I think it's tough to say they can't have that ability and still allow for freedom of speech. But I think most companies should hold this as an ethics breach.

The big place to draw the line should be whether or not an employer can fire or not hire based on politics. I don't think an employer should be able to decide to fire an employee based on if they have an Obama bumper sticker or not.

Employers, unions, coworkers, doctors, heck even your mailman should all be free to tell you who they believe you should vote for and why. That is simply freedom of speech. I had a great political conversation just the other day with the local doughnut shop owner and two couples that were in there for breakfast. We all got to express our views and why we thought that way, and we all left a little better informed.

Anyone telling you who you should vote for doesn't in any way affect your freedom to vote however you choose. There is no reason to limit freedom of speech in this issue.

If anything I'd be pretty interested to know how my boss feels about politics. Because it might be relevant to my job security. Just as long as he doesn't threaten those who disagree with him.

If a Business owner/employer feels the election results will affect his/her business or his/her employees, then why wouldn't mentioning their opinion be justified. Seems we have TWO main characters out there (Obama/Romney), doing everything they can to do the same thing and to question them is as American as you can get.

I realize most employees don't really care what their employer thinks, but many in business or those investing in them, do fear what Government Regulation, Taxes, the National Debt will mean for THEIR business and are concerned. In fairness, even those that might gain access to Government, or feel they would be better off and could grow with one or the other person, also have the right to opinionate.

I think it's more acceptable for Unions to do so. Just because Unions are supposed to be representing the workers and helping them get the best possible outcomes. A lot of union workers look up to their leaders for guidance in politics.
